Rs451 rose tube register via disconnect app failed

this rs451 just begun setting up, software update done . the rose connect app on the smart phone has proceeded to the final stage of connecting to the unit’s IP address. The app’s auto search came up with an address that has a different last two numbers. Manual entering or via QR code scan cannot rectify this hurdle. hope for way forward.

@essmac

Additionally, for the Rose device, you can keep it connected via Ethernet, while your PC or smartphone can connect via Wi-Fi provided by the same router that the Rose device is connected to via LAN.

If the RoseONE APP is unable to find your Rose device, please let us know the IP addresses shown on both your Rose device and your PC or smartphone.
Rose device → Settings → System Info → IP Address

Please compare the IP address of the Rose device and the Wi-Fi IP address of your phone. The first two sections (the first two numbers separated by dots) must be the same.

Example (Correct):
Rose device IP Address: 192.168.4.44
PC or smartphone IP Address: 192.168.4.33

Example (Incorrect):
Rose device IP Address: 192.168.4.44
PC or smartphone IP Address: 192.168.6.33

Could you please take a photo or screenshot of the IP address shown on your smartphone and the IP address displayed on your RS451, and send them to me?

This will help us verify whether both devices are connected to the same network and assist us in troubleshooting the issue.

Thank you.

The earlier app versions were unhelpful. I uninstalled both, split the wifi connection to a fixed 5MHz and applied to both the rs452 and my android phone. The 451 has a different ip add this time. Seems to work but the rose tube still freezes here and there

I am now using rose one connect

@ROSEHAN

I didn’t check this… but can a user change the net mask to the network?
(FF.FF.FF.00 aka 255.255.255.0) limits the devices to a class A network only.

Or can the user modify this itself?

@Smegel

Currently, the subnet mask cannot be changed manually on a ROSE device.
The subnet mask is typically assigned automatically by your router (DHCP server).

Ah ok, so then if I set my subnet mask to be 255.255.0.0 the unit will use that?

Cool
Thx

@Smegel

Yes, that’s correct.

If your ROSE device is configured to use DHCP (automatic IP assignment), it will use the network settings provided by your router (DHCP server), including the IP address, subnet mask, and gateway.

Therefore, if your router is configured to assign a subnet mask of 255.255.0.0, your ROSE device will use that subnet mask as well.

However, before changing your router’s network configuration, we recommend making sure that the new subnet mask is compatible with the other devices on your network and your overall network environment.
