RS520 CD Ripping - Some CD's missing

Hi,
We have an RS520 with an SSD drive & an RSA780 for ripping a CD collection. After 30 CD’s so far, we notice CD’s that have more than album (double CD or 3 or 4 even) only rip the 1st CD correctly. The 2nd / 3rd / 4th CD’s end up being ripped into a different folder, with the artist / track title around the other way to the other CD’s. Has anyone seen this before?

Also, artwork is missing for around 50% of the rips. Is there a way too add the artwork through the PC via SMB or anything like that?

Thanks for any help.

@JordanAcoustics

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

This symptom exists for each CD with a disk ID. The disk ID is searched on the Hi-Fi Rose DB site and ripped as displayed.
This problem occurs if there is incorrect information on the Hi-Fi Rose DB site or if there are multiple disk IDs with the same disk ID value.

Please answer a few questions.

  1. When ripping all CDs with more than 2 albums, does it rip strangely as you said?
  2. If this symptom occurs only on a specific CD, please tell us the disk ID of the CD.

Please check the video in the link below.

Thank you for the reply.

The artwork video suggests we need to take the SSD from the RS520 and attach it to a laptop. Is this the only way to acess the SSD, or can it be done via a PC over the network to browse folders?

1: When ripping all CDs with more than 2 albums, does it rip strangely as you said?
Yes, but not every time. Some multiple albums are ok, whereas others rip into different folders with the artist / track name switched around.

2: If this symptom occurs only on a specific CD, please tell us the disk ID of the CD.
It has happened to a few CD’s, one being a Joan Armatrading CD. all 3 Albums are ripped as an entire album with 61 tracks, rather than 3 separate albums.

Thanks for your help as always.
