RS520 single dongle BT and WiFi

I’m not sure if the customized Android used by Rose products is PnP enabled. (Plug and play)
Or if you could offer a newer dongle or set of dongles.

Right now I’m using a hardwired ethernet and then run BT thru my McIntosh MB20 and optical in to the RS20. (Only the remote uses the BT dongle.)

My idea is for Rose to find some separate Wi-Fi and BT dongles where they could offer as an alternative.
By separating out the wi-fi and BT into separate dongles, you have better options for BT5.x and WiFi 6 or 7.

I realize that it would mean finding options, and then adding their drivers into the OS ( This is where PnP comes in.) At startup the system would recognize the dongle device and load the appropriate driver.

The benefit would be to extend the product lives of products that rely on the dongle for internet and BT access.

Thank you for your valuable suggestion and for taking the time to share your ideas with us.

As you mentioned, separating the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functions into dedicated dongles could provide greater flexibility and allow support for newer wireless standards.

However, at this time, HiFi ROSE products are compatible only with the dongle models that we officially support. We cannot guarantee compatibility with third-party Wi-Fi or Bluetooth dongles, as their compatibility with our products has not been fully verified.

We appreciate your suggestion regarding support for separate Wi-Fi and Bluetooth dongles as well as newer wireless standards. We will forward your feedback to our development team for consideration in future product and software improvements.

Hi.

In order to offer different dongles, Rose would have to include the drivers as part of the OS.
It would work if your version of Android supported PnP where the device would be recognized and then the drivers loaded at boot or dynamically.

This may be a moot point since your newer product offerings have the Wi-Fi and BT modules build in.

Thank you for your feedback and suggestion.

You are correct that supporting additional USB Wi-Fi or Bluetooth dongles would require the appropriate drivers to be integrated into the operating system. Since compatibility depends on the chipset and available drivers, we are unable to guarantee support for third-party dongles.

Yes, and this is why it would have to be something Rose offered directly.

Rose would have to consider what other dongles to offer, make a selection and then incorporate the drivers as an option.

I realize that there are higher priorities, but this could be a way to extend the usefulness of the RS520 into wi-fi 6 or now 7 as well as support for BT 5.x
