Rsa 720 problem optical fiber

@DMHB9
Have to ask… and there’s no wrong answer…

Rose ships them boxed units.
Distributor puts them on the shelf.
Ships them to dealers still in closed boxes…

If the firmware is updated… are you asking for Rose’s distributors and dealers to open the boxes, pull them out… put them on the bench, so they can power them up to update the firmware and then re-box them?

If so, would you still consider them to be NIB?

IMHO, I’d say don’t do it.
Unless you want to sell it as an open box and discount it… :wink:

@Smegel
Hi thanks for replying to my post.

Of course, it’s their job to deliver working and updated products, or do you prefer to pay to receive a non-working product? It’s not like my Rose 130 that updates automatically. My trusted shop has electronics and IT technicians and they haven’t been able to update the RSA 720. Or does Rose collect the non-updated 720s and send the updated and working products to the importers, or does the importer do it? I, the end user, want a working product. I don’t want to waste time testing and trying the various solutions proposed in the forums. Going back to my dealer to return the new and non-working product is the importer’s job, not mine. To date, after three weeks, I still haven’t received what I paid for because the importer doesn’t know how to do his job and, knowing about the problems, only has old RSAs from 2023 that aren’t updated. If you prefer to pay for non-working products, No, I’m not interested in a closed or open box. I’m interested in a perfect product that doesn’t give me problems, even if it’s the cheapest product. I have the RSA 720 and I have much more expensive cables. Even in Switzerland, we don’t give away money.

Furthermore, here it is not customary to give discounts even if you buy a rs 130 you will receive a discount if due to a problem with the importer or roses the owner of my trusted shop who is a dear friend of mine has to send a technician to my house every hour it costs at least $ 150 therefore on a product that sells for $ 400 he is already at a clear loss

incredible, my very good dealer has continuously urged the importer and today I received the new RSA 720. I will install it in the next few days hoping that it is updated and that it works with fibre optics.

Can you also tell us, those of us who have the old product manufactured in 2023.08 and who have been waiting for an update for over a year, what is the manufacturing date of the new product? Possibly a photo with the manufacturing date?

@SPaul

Here are the data from my new Rose RSA 720

Do you really not read what I wrote and what emails I sent you???
The same embarrassing, repetitive and off-topic answers!!!
It’s been a year since you’ve been “working” on solving this problem!!! AWFUL! SHAME!
Why should I send you the MAC address of the device??? What other manufacturer do you know that asks for the MAC address of their sold products that turn out to be unusable???
Even now, you haven’t corrected the mistakes in the RSA720 update manual!!!
So every time I use another DAC, I have to get a new update for the RSA720??? Shame!!!

@SPaul

You do not need to receive a new update for the RSA720 every time you use a different DAC.

To help us resolve the issue, please provide the MAC address of your RSA720 to the email address below.
