Running TV audio through RS250

If I wanted to watch a live concert video stream, for example, that isn’t on Rose Tube/You tube but rather another streaming service, can I run TV audio through the RS250? Believe my TV has optical out. Can that be connected to optical in on the RS250 and run audio from TV?

Yes it is possible
TV sound can be played through RS250.
As you said, connect the optical out port on the TV and the optical in port on the RS250.

I was wondering the same thing; can I run the TV through the Rose? If I run the optic cable from the TV into the Hi Fi Rose, which output setting on the menu do I select to hear the audio? Also, have you noticed improved sound from your TV by running the signal through the Rose rather than straight into your amp?

If you want to hear the TV sound through RS250, you need to make sure that the audio setting in the TV setup menu is set to optical output, and the RS250 must be set to optical input from the in out settings.

This can usually be resolved by adjusting the PCM delay time on your RS250.

What did you set the PCM delay time to in RS250? Although it is set to 500ms by default,
It seems that the problem will be solved if you adjust it to about 1000~1500ms.

Tried but not difference. Am actually using the RS250 with digital in by toslink and with digital out to another DAC using coaxial. Had tried PCM audio delay from 0 to 1600ms but seems not different. Thanks!

Please follow the few methods below.

  1. There are slight differences in settings for each TV.
    Does the same problem occur even if you adjust the sync using TV Menu → Sound–>SPDIF Settings → Delay Time Adjustment?
    You can adjust the Lip Sync Delay time manually rather than automatically in the Menu of the TV (or Set Top).
  2. Does the same problem appear even if you factory reset your RS150b?
    RS150b–>Settings–>System settings–>Factory reset

Tried, but it still the same. My Sony TV A8G 55 cannot adjust the synchronization of picture and sound. Tried both 0 ms and 3000 ms for PCM audio delay of RS250 but it still the same. Hope someone can share how to fix this.

So the only final advice I have is to factory reset your Rose device.
Rose device–>Settings–>System settings–>Factory reset
