Great experience with SACD Playback. I was able to connect my PS Audio SACD Transport via HDMI/I2S to my Rose RD160. And listened to the single SACD Layer of some japanese SACDs by upsampling DSD 64 to DSD 512 on the RD160 side. Great Effort and superb Sound. Much better layered sound than before, with the predecessor DAC, PS Audio DSD Mk2. Great Job again by Rose Engineering.

Another competitor came in for the same application, for a lesser price! Try the new Onix Zenith XST20 and the YBA YT304, you would be amazed

in the meantime I’m using the RD160 with the wordclock Mutec REF10. And for sure, the output via AES EBU from PS Audio SACD Transport with redbook signal is sounding better than the SACD Layer with I2S without reclocking, so using the original clocking in the PSA transport. So I’m comming to the conclusion, that the yba solution would be much better, as there will be two sacd possibilities for playback via DAC: with I2S and external clock in connection with the yba 302 or sacd over pcm with AES EBU and using the external wordclock in the yba and in the rd160 DAC. Great possibilities …
Right, more flexible to choose from. I just believe that the yba woud be more economical to output sacd signal. Any dac with I2s will do or as said, or dop from other interface. My listening preferences mostly base on streamer or network sources, so the yba combo solution would just be a bonus on listening choice.

are you still interested in the SACD Transport YBA YT302? My own YT302 was just unpacked yesterday to check and compare it with my lindemann bridge for streaming. It was better sounding, yes, but I decided to finish ripping my entire CD collection. Easier to use. Interested? I bought it yesterday and it is just new. Just let me know, if you are interested.
