I use the included SFP RJ45 Copper adapter for my LAN connection. Would a Fibre LAN connection improve the sound further? Does somebody have some experience with this type of LAN connection regarding sound quality?
I have the fiber version and I think it improves things. I think it depends on your internet setup. I used a relatively cheap SFP box but it seems to work well
I bought cheap switch with SFP and 10Gtek 1000Base-SX LC Transceivers and it works fine. I’ve immediately heard positive difference in sound using optical connection vs LAN cable. Via optical sound is fuller, harshness on highs disappeared and blacker background.
