I just turned on my device for the first time in 10 days and a update screen came up, I selected proceed and it now is stuck on " checking package" " device will reboot"

After downloading the 201 update, it automatically reboots for the update, but sometimes it goes into recovery mode and hangs.
If it is stuck in recovery mode, disconnect the power and turn it on again.
In this case, you must click Update again.
It worked. I think you should add this to the instructions should people get caught in this loop. It says to not power off but in certain situations you do. One more question, I thought I saw somewhere a new VU color in this update listed somewhere…did that happen or am I imagining this? Thanks

If you are worried to stuck by OTA, I will send you the latest update patch so that you can update via USB.
I rebooted as you instructed, I pulled the power cord. I waited a minute and re-attached.
I then went to Update ( It did not appear automatically as before) selected it and it updated and rebooted correctly this time.
I assume the OTA updates installed I have not paid attention nor had any issues. My only point is you should have on your Update FAQs what to do if its stuck, I was loath to reboot or unplug as your instructions state NOT to lose power during an update.
Also I answered my other question, your new VU faces are for your other product, not mine.
