I recently installed an update and when it rebooted and I turned it on the player was at full volume and nearly blew my speakers. Why would a software update change the previous volume in use?
I also seem to have got a new icon which I know nothing about.
Should an update behave like this?
I just did the update myself.
RS520… didn’t have that issue.
Also which update the 11.01 or the 11.02 that was just released?

It was version 5.11.01.1.
I am surprised you cannot replicate the update causing the volume going to maximum as I never adjusted the volume when doing the update.
I have a RS201E which is an old model which may have reacted differently.
I would like to add that I have enjoyed owning it over the past few years.
We will share with our development team that this issue occurred on an RS201E for further investigation.
Although we have not been able to reproduce the same issue so far, if it happens again, please provide a video or photos of the issue along with details about your usage environment at the time. This information will be very helpful in identifying the cause.

Installed the new update 5.11.02 today and it was installed without any issues.
