It is clear that there are some who ate clowns before coming.
Well I donāt know.
I agree that the sound should be the most critical thing.
Then price/value.
Then some of the bells and whistles.
In terms of sound⦠remember that you have customers like Boris who appear to be tone deaf.
In terms of price / value⦠its relative. You can look at Eversolo which is getting all the love, yet doesnāt sound as nice.
The reason is price for some of the units, although they are now getting to the price points as some of the Rose products but only are at 80-90% of the sound.
So that leaves gadgets.
Like Spectrum Analyzers , Parametric EQ, Room Correction (which requires a mic and Rose has to pay for a software licenseā¦) Stuff like that.
Of course some of this is really OS /Firmware related.
Iād prefer a better UI/UX and bug fixes⦠along w support for more wi-fi / bt dongles that will support BT5.4 and better wi-fi connections.
But thatās just me.
This is quite rich coming from a clown who had built a system incapable of reproducing a pianoā¦
Weāve had phone dongles for years (and those are more like 95%).
These are not gadgets but basic requirements for something to be state of the art in 2025.
Spectrum analyzers are more of eye candy, but weāve had those in WinAmp and stuff 20 years ago. EverSolo (or one of their many brands) has no problem doing a spectrum analyzer on their gear. The only thing it requires is a team of slightly competent developers (team of one, that is).
They could allow at least loading convolution filters you create by whatever means you want. But that would require some desire on the part of the company to provide better sound quality, instead of showing external clocks, SFP jacks, and crappy GaN amps for clueless audiophiles to fawn over. Just not Roseās target market.
whatās the need of the shouting?
who is āweā?
Absolutely right, and I wouldnāt want to be without RoomRefect anymore.
I agree, a spectrum Analysers would be a great addition for a great visual effect and useful frequency readings.
Iāve relayed this information back to our software team.
Itās not easy to add.
Weāll review it again.

Itās not easy to add.
Then IMO donāt add it. Use what resource and skill challenged software people you have to work on fixing things that are broken, some of which have been going on for two years or more.
Tony,
All Han Eun-Seong is saying is that they are going to revisit evaluating the feature. Not that they are going to do it.
Iām going to assume that Rose Hi-Fi uses Agile and that they will talk about the feature in their next planning session.

Iām going to assume that Rose Hi-Fi uses Agile
That would explain a lot, Mike. Agile as originally instantiated proved over time to be too easily overwhelmed by dogmatics and resulting inflexibility. Twenty years ago it might have been good, but if Rose is still using it (assuming they even are using it), itās not working. They should be looking at something like DevOps for a more suitable SW project management paradigm. Just my opinion; my corporation adopted Agile in the early 2000s and had to deal with all its problems over time. We then went to Agile 2 by the time I retired. Not sure if thatās still being used.
It depends on how you implement Agile.
I mean Iāve been on a ton of teams doing Agile, and its when you try to align a program (multiple projects) that you run into a dogmatic approach. I thine Safe is the latest and greatest. Every time I tried to get certified ⦠I kept getting pulled out of the class to put out some fires. So I could never pass since I missed a couple of hours even though I could probably teach the class.
Personally I prefer RAD/RAP (Rapid Application Development/Prototyping) But thatās something you rarely find outside of R&D environments.
DevOps is more on deployment / break fix scheduling.
