Spotify app can't find HiFi Rose RS520

Spotify app is not finding the RS520.


This function was working until a few days ago. No update has been pushed lately to my rose RS520. No changes on my home network: RS520 connects directly to the router via Ethernet cable and the 3x iPhones and the iPad via wi-fi.

  • I’ve deleted Spotify app and re-installed it
  • I’ve tried connecting the RS520 via wi-fi only
    Same issue…

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Please check a few things.

  1. Is Spotify enabled on your RS520?

  2. Are your iPhones and the iPad connected to the same network with RS520 connected by Ethernet?
    Please tell me the IP address of your RS520 and the IP address of your iPhone and iPad.
    RS520–>Settings–>System info–>IP address
    iPhone IP address

  3. When you connect RS520 to the same Wi-Fi as iPhone and iPad, not Ethernet, does RS520 searched on Spotify?

All sorted, the Spotify service was not enabled (somehow it got disabled, I guess).

PS: Can I ask why there is the option to disable / enable the Spotify service? Shouldn’t this option be always ON? Thanks, again.

We applied the API provided by Spotify as it is.
It is not difficult to disable / enable the Spotify.
If it is always on, you can give others a chance to connect to your device.
