Spotify RS250 with Ethernet

Hello Rose,

I am trying to connect my Rose RS250 to Spotify, but it is not working. The RS250 is connected with an Ethernet cable. I also tried it via WiFi, but it didn’t work either. I just want to play music with an ethernet cable.

I read somewhere that you have to turn on Spotify. I have no idea how or where.

Furthermore, Apple Music is also not working well. Incoming volume too high (LEDs turn in red).

With live recordings there are always interruptions between the songs. Gapless doesn’t work.

Best regards

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

  1. When using Spotify, your RS250 must be connected to the same Wi-Fi as your mobile phone. After activating Spotify on the RS250 shown in the photo below, try connecting from the Spotify app on your phone.
  2. Volume output value varies depending on the music streaming app. It varies depending on not only the music streaming app but also each sound source.
  3. If the Gapless function is set to On, it does not apply to live recording sound sources. We will check this further.

Thank you for your response. After Apple Music, Spotify is not for me because I have an Ethernet connection. I went now to Tidal. There you can normally listen to a live concert without breaks between the songs.

Why not choose Sonos technology? There I can just use my playlists without all the complicated settings.

The incoming volume is still too high for some songs dispute the output is now 500.

I’m considering selling the Hifi Rosé and going back to Sonos. It just doesn’t work well and the settings are too unclear and too complex for me. I’m sorry to report this.
