Streaming Apple Music on RS130

When I stream Apple Music on the RS130 a slight gap is inserted between songs and is especially noticeable with live recordings. When I listen to the same live recording on the AppleTV the songs transition seamlessly from one to the next. Is this user error corresponding to an incorrect setting or is it Apple Music that is the culprit?

Does anyone have recommendations for other streaming services? I chose Apple Music because it offers music in Dolby Atmos but am finding that these other quirks make that less important to me. I know that Qobuz has HD music and its own app to operate the RS130 and am considering it even though it does not offer Atmos music.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

This is due to HiFi Rose’s implementation of Apple Music that uses an API. This is not a user error. The API is streaming AAC/256 kbps. This is Apple’s responsibility since they will not give Rose the tools to implement high resolution streaming.

I suggest you sign up for a free trial of Tidal which supports both Dolby Atmos and gapless playback. High resolution FLAC is also available on some albums.
Tidal Connect is not available yet so until that happens ( promised for later this year) your best bet is to stream Tidal via the Rose Connect App.
