@ROSELOA Hello,
sorry but Vu meters doesn’t work anymore since the update.
I don’t know what to do
The meters do not follow left and right channels, they are behaving like every song is playing in Mono.
Yes for you this problem, for me doesn’t work anymore.
If it does not work, it is recommended to cancel the vu meter function.
did you find the setting, where you can switch between input Signal and output Signal to show.
With the output, nothing happens here. and that the volume was never going more than the middle, was also in 4.2 version. its more a gimmick than reflecting proper values.
you can test with a L/R/Center test file (available on Qobuz).
@aswiss, thank you for your help but sorry… I don’t understand how.
What is strange is that the Vu meters move before the update, I think more to a bad hardware installation of the update.
I tried several times, also unplugging the Rose, but nothing to do.
the VU Meter is just a piece of Software which triggers the sound.
Have you checked the settings?
Go to Settings - Audio - scroll down - switch between Input and Output trigger.
Output is not working for me, because I use the fixed Volume to PreAmp
Thanks @aswiss for helping me!
When I touch VU Meter Reference, I have no choice between Input gain and Output gain, and I have this message: “use the input gain while using the software volume” (Internet translation); It may be obvious, my Rose 250 is simply connected to my amplifier in analog.
Nice day !
Hello Herve,
I’m sorry but when ‘software volume control’ is ON, VU meter doesn’t work properly.
It should be fixed, but not fixed yet in 4.3.09 update.
We’ve fixed other parts of VU meters first.
Please check VU meter with ‘Software Volume control’ - OFF.
Good morning @ROSELOA ,
Many thanks for your answer!
When I woke up this morning in France, I read your message, and I saw that “Software volume control” was on ON (I don’t know why). I put on OFF and awesome the VU meters work again and much better than before the update .
I still wonder, what is the utility of this “Software volume control” function, it was activated after the update?
Thank you very much ROSELOA and nice day to you !
Hervé
Hello Herve,
‘Software Volume Control’ is an option that allows you to control volume with ROSE even when you’re using digital outputs, such as OPT/COAX/USB outputs.
If you’re using analog outputs, or controls volume with other audio devices, you don’t need it.
Best Regards,
Thank you,
Nice day
