TIDAL Integration Issues on RS151

Hello,

I am using HiFi Rose RS151 and I noticed serious issues with TIDAL integration.

The main problems:

  1. Search results are incomplete compared to the official TIDAL app.
  2. Some artists appear duplicated or incorrectly displayed.
  3. Albums and tracks are missing.
  4. Overall browsing experience is limited and not consistent.

I have attached screenshots to clearly show the difference between Rose interface and the official TIDAL app.

This is a high-end device, and I believe the software experience should match the hardware quality.

Please investigate and improve:

  • search accuracy
  • content synchronization with TIDAL
  • overall UI performance

Thank you.

This issue has already been forwarded to our software team.

We are currently reviewing the issue internally, and we first need to confirm with TIDAL whether it is possible to receive or access the necessary API support from their side regarding this matter.

Interesting perspective.

May I ask you something:
if you were choosing today, would you stay with the RS151 platform or move to something like a NAD M66 / Dirac-based solution for better software, room correction and bass management?

I’m currently trying to decide which direction makes more sense long term for a stereo + dual subwoofer setup.

I completely agree that the RS151 hardware and visual design are beautiful.

But at the end of the day, we listen with our ears — not with our eyes.

For many serious Hi-Fi users, software quality, room correction, bass integration and long-term platform development become more important than the display itself.

That is why solutions with Dirac, Bass Control and advanced DSP are becoming so attractive today.

When we first launched HiFi ROSE products, we never stated that we would support TIDAL Connect or Spotify Connect.

Later, due to requests from many users, we added support for Spotify. During the process of trying to support TIDAL Connect, we encountered technical difficulties and were unfortunately unable to implement it.

As a result, we developed the RW800 module, which is designed to support TIDAL Connect as well as other additional functions.

We understand your opinion, but unfortunately it may be difficult for us to reflect your suggestion.

However, we are making efforts to set the price as reasonably as possible.

The RS151 was designed with a different philosophy than Dirac-based products, focusing on high-quality streaming, audio performance, user experience, and an intuitive interface.

Ultimately, the best choice depends on your priorities. If advanced DSP features such as Dirac Live and Bass Control are your primary focus, a Dirac-based solution may be more suitable. If you value streaming performance, sound quality, and the HiFi ROSE ecosystem, the RS151 remains a strong option.
