Hello, thank you for your inquiry.
When using TIDAL (and most streaming services), it is normal for the perceived volume to vary from track to track. This is not a device issue, but rather a result of differences in how each track is mastered. Factors such as the year of production, album type (especially compilation or “best of” albums), and mastering engineers can cause noticeable volume differences, even within the same album.
TIDAL’s Loudness (volume normalization) feature helps to balance the average volume level, but:
- It does not make all tracks sound exactly the same in perceived loudness, and
- Tracks with wide dynamic range or significantly different original mastering may still sound louder or quieter than others.
At this time, there is no additional setting in the Rose app or the device that can fully equalize volume across all tracks. This behavior is considered normal and is related to TIDAL’s content characteristics.
