Did you know that matching the components is the only way how the system will finally sound?
In your case rs201 and choosen speakers were no match. So either you find a proper speaker for rs or the other way arround…
Rs201 sounds very solid with proper speakers…
Thank you for your answer.
I did a new attempt after almost a year.
I could try a RS520 without paying in advance.
But I tried again several speakers/
Connected a Yamaha and Denon and Rose.
I took switch for the speakers and listen to it just pure flat.
But again , the Denton and Yamaha just had better sound.
Meanly it was more forward sound, good detailed , deep and high.
In the Rose there is not excitement at all.
It is so “lifeless”.
Then I have used it as a streamer alone, connect to the jammie or Denon.
The sound was immediately much much better.
But then I run in to problems.
The app on my iPhone , if I try to login , goes back to the main screen when I fill in name and password.
On my Mac, I tried the software then I can login but sometimes just crashes.
Not all my radio stations are present.
No iTune or internet radio, but rose radio.
Spotify use.Cannot use EQ.
Tidal has to be used in the app form Rose.
So no Tidal connect.
So maybe the hardware works ok.
But the software has a long, long way to go.
To long I aspect.
So again send back the unit.
I now have a Yamaha R-N2000A.
Perfect, not Any faults, and everything works.
Good you find a proper setup.
It’s hard to compare such diverse amps, it’s not expected small d-class amp could and should sound better than ab- class like yamaha you mentioned here
