Something changed this morning. For some reason I had to reconnect my streamer and amp on my network. Usually when I turn the system on, both units power up together and power down together after 2 hours of inactivity. This doesn’t work now and I am a loss to understand why.
Clearly in my fumblings around the set up I have changed something, but I cannot figure out what.
I am running the latest EA firmware.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
Hi,
I don’t have the RS150B any more. Wonder if there’s a Power Sync function. If there is, it’s probably the one you need to turn on.
Thanks for the reply. I thought that I set this before in the amp power settings but maybe I was mistaken as I don’t see anything that covers this. I’m not seeing anything in the streamer settings that might cover the control of the amp either. Really frustrating.
Sorry for couldn’t help more. You’ll need to wait for Rose’s support.
If you go into your Rose Connect EA software, you can click the remote icon at the top right.
From there you should see an AMP Connect window on the left side. After the update to EA, my amp disappeared. I tried to search the network for it, and it did not find it. Using the RoseAMPConnect iOS app which barely works, i was able to find the IP address of my amp. Manually adding that to RoseConnect EA allowed me to add my amp back. I believe the sync functionality is in the “AMP Setting” menu, but for me, its only in Korean for some reason. lol @ROSEHAN you might want to check this out for the EA build.
Hi
I can see the amp settings but my only options are
Standby mode setting: low power or normal and
Auto shutdown settings: off or on, with a timer selection from 10 mins and upward
There is a difference in that although the amp is on the network as I can control on off remotely I do not see the amp icon under the registering ROSE tab and no amount of searching or putting its IP address works.
This is very annoying and to lose the functionality is disappointing.
Currently, there are no separate issues related to amp sync in the RoseConnect EA app.
It is said that this function works directly on the Rose device and there is no problem with the RoseConnect EA app.
Please check a few things.
-
You need to check if the Rose amp power sync setting at the bottom is On in Settings > Audio Settings > On.
-
If it is On but does not work, you need to check if the amp power is turned On/Off with the remote control in the RoseConnect EA app.
-
Do you experience the same symptoms even if you delete the RoseConnect EA app and reconnect it?
-
Do you experience the same symptoms even if you factory reset your Rose device?
Rose device–>Settings–>System settings–>Factory reset
Hi, thanks for the speedy reply.
Item 1 above fixed it.
Many thanks
What about the Korean text in the EA app that is set to English?
Was talking about my screenshot
