Uncommanded Switch to hdmi output

I noticed a few times that upon power on the output is set to hdmi.
I only use analoge output, no hdmi connected even.
Why does the output reverts to hdmi?

I have the same problem on my RS250 since the beginning. It happens a few times per week for no apparent reason.

Does it happen even after latest update? (4.1.03)
If you didn’t update to latest version yet, please check if it happens even after latest update.
Also, please let me know your current version with issue.
(RS250 > Settings > SystemInfo > System Version Info > View Details > ROSE OS > ??)

Hi, just to let you know as promised, that today my RS250 has changed the analog output to the hdmi output by itself.

This was the first time after the last firmware update.

System info: ROSE OS: 4.1.03

Hello,

Sometimes when you boot ROSE device, even if the screen is on, the things in ROSE devices may not be ready. (They take more time then LCD)
So please give some time for RS250 after booting.
Still, that shouldn’t happen… I will request for double check.

So, when you looked at the IN/OUT Settings, it was on HDMI OUT and you couldn’t listen to music without changing the output, did I understand right?

Hi,

I have seen the same behaviour. It started after the latest SW update.

If I use analogue output and turn off the RS250 to stand by and later turn it on, it sometimes switches to HDMI output by itself.

After I turned off “HDMI pass trough” (I think it was called) in HDMI out settings, I have not had the problem.

Hi, you have understand correctly.
When I hear no music after starting up the RS250 from the standby position, I check the in/out settings on the RS250.
Then I see it has changed to hdmi out and I have to change it back to analog out.
This happens despite I have the hdmi out settings turned to “off”.
Yesterday, this automatc change, happened twice.

Same issue for me on RS250. Happens a couple of times per week. Rca and coax out are only cables connected.

Hello Max,

Do you see it changed to HDMI when you power up to RS250?
Or while you listen to music, the music suddenly stops and IN/OUT setting is changed to HDMI by itself?

It is when I power up. Same as other comment - I start playing something and get no sound. I check the settings and see that it has switched to hdmi.

Hello Max,

Currently, the latest version for RS250 ROSE OS is 4.1.06.

Did it happen in 4.1.06 as well?
Also, what’s your ROSE ID?
(RS250 > Settings > SystemInfo > ROSE ID)

I have the latest OS installed. No experience with previous OS as I have only had it for two weeks.

Yes this is happening. Not resolved with update. Turned RS250 on to play radio to find no sound then realised setting had changed to HDMI - not the first time unfortunately. Let’s see these niggles iron out please slowly becoming annoying. :man_shrugging:t2:

  1. RS250 > IN/OUT Settings > HDMI OUTPUT menu > HDMI passthrough > ON or OFF?
  2. What’s your ROSE ID? (RS250 > Settings > SystemInfo > ROSE ID)

I haven’t had this problem for a few weeks now until today.
My RS250 has changed itself to the hdmi output.
