Update problem RS150B

Hello

Apparently i am not the only one getting an error update on my brand new Rs150B received today.

Message is err connect timeout
No matter wifi or ethernet
I already did a factory reset

Please update quickly as it is almost impossible to use it.

Thank you for using our product.
Several customers have already updated their RS150B, and bugs have been reported. We are fixing this, and on Monday we will provide the update file as a link to Google Drive for OTA and manual update.

I have same problem, cannot boot up RS150 after updated to 3.8.11
Pls advise you were fixed and send me the solution….

I have responsed to your mail, please help to solve it properly ASAP!

It worked finally last week.
The only thing i did was to unplug and plug in everything.
Then I change language to English and location to Korea as once it happened on the Nvidia shield update that location and language were the problems.
Don’t know if it comes from those changes but it worked

I did everything but failed. The problem is my RS150 cannot power on properly.
Nothing I can do only waiting for the solution from Rose’s supporting team at this moment :confounded:

Just unboxed my rose rs150b and it will not update. I’m connected via Ethernet and Wi-Fi no success. Please help

You have to choose between Ethernet and Wifi.
I would recommend Ethernet if available.

What do you see here?
RS150B > Settings > IP address
RS150B > Settings > system info > lastest version
RS150B > Settings > system info > ROSE ID

My IP address is 10.0.0.226
System version is 4.1
Rose ID is 0C8D20

It is connected via Ethernet that I validated using my work pc and it connected with no issues

I just checked the version with your Rose ID and it is not the latest version.

To update:

  1. Click Settings on your Rose device
  2. System info — If you look at System Version Information, there is an update.
    If the update still does not work, check if Wi-Fi or Ethernet is properly connected and try again.

If the update does not work even though Wi-Fi or Ethernet is properly connected, follow the method below.

  1. Click Settings on your Rose device
  2. Click System Settings
  3. Click Factory Reset.
    To resets takes about 5-10 minutes. After initialization, reconnect Wi-Fi or Ethernet and then try update.
