I suggest you think about what you are writing, you cannot compare Rose to Mac, which has been on the market for many years compared to Rose, these are two companies that are incomparable to each other in many respects.
Agree but support for any manufacture is critical. I was pointing out McIntosh’s support which Rose should take a lesson on.
Or make products that work as advertised, like McIntosh.
It’s not a matter of borrowing knowledge from another company; it’s a matter of Rose having to develop certain things themselves, including support. This requires time, the right staff, money, and a few other things. Rose is a young company, and it’s hard to compare it to Mac, Accu, Esoteric, Luxman, and many others who have been in the audio market for decades.
If you want to buy a streaming player like these, you have to look at completely different things, which are significantly more expensive than what you can buy Rose devices for. It’s a fair price. Sound-wise, Rose really holds its own. It has problems with updates, surprisingly now, when it should be better than, say, three years ago. Hopefully, they’ll figure this out and subsequent updates will only improve the devices.
Good English is important….just saying
Steve,
What is the problem with compatibility with class A amplification. My RS151 is connected to an Accuphase Pre and class A power amp. Absolutely great.
BR,
Franz
I also have an Accu in the A class and everything is fine.
I just upgraded a few weeks ago and I find the 151 sounds better than the 150. Better soundstage, better detail. Like the rf remote.
Hello,
This is the kind of informations I wanted when writing the post.
thanks,
Fred
Yah, too much noise (lol) in a lot of these replies. Seems no one can just answer the gd question.
I mi,szczęka opadła". Jakość dźwięku wybitna z Tidal. A aplikacja 10 razy lepsza od Rose.
Naprawdę bezbłędnie działa Tidal connect.
Możliwości konfiguracji większa niż u Rose i lepiej grającego niż ich nowośc RS130 z RD160 - słuchałem porównanawczo . A cena 60% ceny Rose . Chińczycy na ten moment pokonali większość konkurencji . TO JEST Hi END.
Posłuchaj a sam się przekonasz.
Rose 150B teraz sprzedaję.
You’re entitled to your own opinion on devices. For me personally and for a few of my friends who were interested in new streaming players, none of us bought the Ever Solo, their top-of-the-line streamer. It sounds too detailed, almost stage-like, to me. The highs are definitely higher than those of the RS 151. In this respect, these devices are incomparable. Plus, the RS 151 has a much better display. Finally, you’ll get a better resale value if you buy the ES than the Rose, but everyone has their own choice. I wouldn’t buy the Ever Solo and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
Cougar 2025,
That’s interesting. With the same number and type of AKM Dac chips one would think the sound would be similar. Maybe it’s the Op Amps that make the difference.

Amplifiers don’t have that much of an impact in this case. In fact, mine was better anyway. I have a Class A Accupahase E 800, and friends have amplifiers like Macs, a Gryphon Diablo 300. The sound was even worse, even more detailed, and the high-pitched treble of vocalists was unacceptable to me. The Ever Solo is designed for very dark speakers, and it might work well there, but resale would involve a significant loss. Lower-end Ever Solo models are very similar, but their price is very competitive. However, the top-of-the-line ES streamer is too expensive compared to, say, the Rose RS 151.

Quote from a user from another thread
“That’s too funny, I just purchased another HiFi Rose device from Audi Advice. I got the RS520. I returned the Eversolo DMP-A6 and got a DMP-A6 master edition only to have this one fail to output sound again for same issues. They took it back and gave me full credit toward the upgraded RS520. The 520 is rocking right now. I love the full screen and it has lots of power to drive the KEF r11 Metas .”
rayray47,
I think I may have been misunderstood. I was speaking of the internal operational amplifiers after the AKM DAC chips and before the DAC output. They can vary a great deal to color the sound of a DAC. I wasn’t speaking of the power amplifiers after a preamplifier and before the speakers.

Wypróbuj, a potem opowiadaj !!!
I wrote that I listened to the top-tier streamer Ever Solo both on my own and on two different systems at friends’ houses, and in each case, it sounded so bad that no one liked it, and none of us bought the Ever Solo.
Everyone knows that a screen doesn’t affect the quality of the music, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s much better on the Rose.
I don’t use Tidal Connect, so I don’t need it. I use Tidal and Qoubuza through the Rose app, and I’ve been very happy with it for over four years. I previously used a Rose RS 250, which I sold and bought the RS 151. I experience no interruptions, etc., while playing music. Again, I wouldn’t buy the Ever Solo again, even if it were cheaper than it is now.
HiFi devices from Rose, FiiO, and others, and Eversolo’s DMP models, all use a simplified version of Android (without the top-tier GMS layer that provides Google functionality like the Play Store). However, its Android roots are well hidden, as the EverSolo DMP-A10 offers a unique interface enhanced with Eversolo’s EOS audio engine, which bypasses Android’s limitations in high-resolution file playback. The only element suggesting the presence of Google software is the ability to install third-party apps. Sure, Rose has the largest displays on the market, but those displays don’t play music. The key lies in the ES9039SPRO chip and super-accurate clocks, plus R-2R equalization. And at this point, Rose is defeated. And you can hear it. Add to that the superb equalization capabilities and the truly best Eversolo app on the market. So, after 45 years of audiophile experience, the DMP-A10 streamer is currently number one in the world. Greetings from Krakow.
All I can say is the Rose 151 has made my music sound like it never has before. So beautiful, rich bass, air around the instruments, vocals outstanding. My years and years of upgrading are done!
(HIFI Rose 151 & 280, Roon Nucleus, Acoustic Energy Corinium’s)
I can also say that after 45 years of refinement, I’ve achieved the perfect system. Absolutely top-notch quality. EverSolo DMP-A10, Luxman L-550AXII, Chario Aviator Cielo, and Cambridge Audio Azur 851C, all powered by a DirectStream Power Plant 12 regenerator. This system guarantees me absolute heaven on earth in terms of sound. And importantly, I didn’t have to sell my Lamborghini to buy this set.

The final step was to swap the Rose RS150B for the EverSolo DMP-A10. A very good final step.
Additional information: with the DMP-A10, you’ll need several hours of “tough time” to set the optimal parameters for yourself. There are many additional options to choose from. But it’s really worth it, because the effect is extraordinary.
