USB Input Shortcut on Screen

Hi, I have a RS150 (not b) everything works well and sounds great, 90% of the time I stream from a NAS however the internet stations we listen to are not available (they were but now you have to use Rayo app) I have tried everything to ‘bypass’ the login - manually input the web address etc but nothing works. I have had to use an old IPad and DAC straight into my amp which works well and sound good. I have linked the IPad to the USB input on the RS150 which also works BUT its a pain having to select the USB port every time (trying to make it simple for my wife).

Is there a way to leave the USB icon on the top bar, as per the network icon, or can this be added in an update at some time so it would be just a matter of clicking on the USB icon (bit like the input selector on an amp)?

If anyone has found a way to use Planet Rock and the Absolute Radio stations on the RS150 I would be grateful!

Hope this all makes sense… Many thanks.

Here are the answers to your questions.

First, we apologize, but due to the current UI design there is no way to keep the USB input selection icon permanently displayed on the top bar like the network icon, and there are no planned changes regarding this in future updates.

I have just tested the Rose Radio app on a Rose device and was able to play both Planet Rock and Absolute Radio without any issues.

There are many channels with the same names such as Planet Rock or Absolute Radio. To help identify the correct one, please provide the web address of the Planet Rock or Absolute Radio station you are referring to.

Once I have the correct website, I will help you find the streaming URL and explain how to add that radio channel manually in the Rose Radio app.

Hi,
Thank you for the reply, no problem regarding the USB icon I can live with it

The official Planet Rock website is https://listen.planetrock.com/ OR https://www.hellorayo.co.uk/planet-rock/ both work on my laptop with no problems.

As a sample the Absolute Radio station is Absolute Radio 70s - Radioplayer
Also listed in Tunein site. Both stations, or groups of stations, are part of the Bauer Media group if thats a help. As I mentioned the app that covers all their stations is RAYO.

Many thanks…

@SWGrant

Our radio service works differently from the way you listen on a computer.

We support radio playback by retrieving and playing publicly available radio streaming URLs.

Therefore, our service operates differently from RAYO, as we do not have a partnership or collaboration with RAYO.

I searched for the Planet Rock station you sent, but I was unable to find its streaming URL.
