USB Output Problem RS130

The RS130’s USB 3.0 port and SFP port are separate interfaces, and the SFP port cannot be directly connected to the MSB Discrete USB Pro input.

For connection with the MSB Discrete DAC, we recommend using the RS130’s USB Audio output connected directly to the DAC’s USB input.

Please also check whether the MSB Discrete USB Pro input supports standard USB Audio device compatibility.

Msb使用的是FS SFP1g-Lx-31的单模双纤千兆模块,那设计的usb应该是2.0接口,130是10g的sfp+模块或者aoc/dac堆叠线,按网络协议是可以通信,不过usb协议就不一定了,由于msb电源线未到,还没测试。如果后期rose能做到和msb的usb sfp通信了,那一定是个非常优秀的设计。目前我使用思科的sfp10g-aoc3m的在130和160之间连接,效果最佳,还有一条dell的dac也不错,两条堆叠线都很便宜,dell的15元人民币,思科的100元。测试了1475和思科的sfp10g-lc都无法在130和160之间使用。网络sfp接口使用1318p3btl非常和。使用sfp-rj45电口,思科的glc系列和finisar 8522都失败。

As you mentioned, even if communication is possible at the network protocol level, USB protocol compatibility may vary depending on the device and module design. Therefore, we are currently unable to officially guarantee compatibility with third-party USB-over-SFP solutions such as MSB.

We also appreciate you sharing your experiences with the Cisco SFP10G-AOC3M and Dell DAC cables, as well as the results from testing various modules.

已经测试了,130的USB SFP无论用1g,10g的模块和aoc,dac线缆都无法连接MSB的USB SFP,需要从130usb连接msb的prosl,然后在连接usb pro。目前测试了msb discrete解码器在乐感分离度层次上比160有25-30%的增加,背景更安静。解析,乐器的表现,人声的强烈感还是160好。130+160组合比T8+Z10组合高级25-30%。130+160组合比n20+msb Premier带独立大电源还是差了许多,相差大概45-55%。

As you mentioned, it appears that the RS130 USB SFP is not directly compatible with the MSB USB SFP solution, and that connection through USB output → MSB Pro ISL → USB Pro is required.

不客气,我从事信息化领域,所以喜欢研究一下,多次打扰您了,我个人建议,rose 130的usb sfp+不知道是什么芯片方案,因为只支持10g速率,msb的usbpro支持1-2.5-10g的自动协商,应该是芯片方案不同,导致的不能通信,建议后期使用1-2.5-10g的自动协商方案,例如螃蟹芯片,这种兼容性比较好,音质也很不错,这样设计给rose的用户有更多的体验,也在一定基础上搭配上msb的解码器了,毕竟msb没有数字转盘。
