USB power settings behavior in stand-by

Hello,

I am using an HiFi Rose RS130 and I am trying to set:

System Settings → USB/SSD power activation in standby mode → OFF

The problem is that the setting is not saved.

My setup:

  • RS130 connected via Ethernet/Optical
  • Wi-Fi is disabled
  • I select OFF
  • confirm the setting
  • afterwards the setting has switched back to ON

The RS130 also shows the message that when Wi-Fi is enabled, USB/SSD power in standby must remain ON. However, in my case Wi-Fi is definitely OFF.

I would like to use the USB power state as a trigger for another device, so I specifically need the USB ports to switch off when the RS130 enters standby.

Has anyone else seen this behavior?

Is this:

  • a known firmware bug,
  • expected behavior in the current Rose OS version,
  • or is there another setting that has to be changed first?

I can also provide screenshots showing that OFF can be selected, but the setting returns to ON afterwards.

An issue has been identified in your specific environment (when the Wi-Fi USB dongle was unplugged while Wi-Fi was ON), and it will be fixed in the next release.
To use it normally in the current state, please follow the steps below:
1.Reconnect the Wi-Fi Dongle:
Plug the previously used Wi-Fi USB dongle back in.
2.Verify Wi-Fi Status:
Ensure that Wi-Fi is turned ON.
3.Turn Off Wi-Fi:
Switch Wi-Fi to OFF in the settings.
4.Remove the Dongle:
Unplug the Wi-Fi USB dongle.

Thank you. I have not tried it yet but I never had a WiFi usb dongle plugged in?!

I had an external usb CD drive but I already removed it without success. WLAN has never been configured in my system.

Any other idea? When will the fix be provided and rolled out?
