User added Radio Station URL adds leading space

When adding a new User Added Radio Station, clicking on the URL line automatically adds a leading space which causes the URL to be rejected.
Please fix this.

Curious, I didn’t notice this problem on my RS130 for which I added a lot of radios in RoseRadio.

domrol,

Thanks for checking me. I think you are correct. When copying the URL for the station I think I was inadvertently including a leading space.
What should the program do in this case?
Beginning Programmer: Invalid URL message
Intermediate Programmer: The URL is incorrect because it has a leading space [message]
Experienced Programmer: Adds a line to the program to ignore a leading space. [No message needed.]

Honestly, given the current workload of the technical team, I don’t think it’s appropriate to ask them to perform a syntax check of the URL of the radios entered, even if this check seems simple at first glance.

domrol,

My point, which I didn’t make very well, was that it takes the same effort to do a really good programming job versus just an OK job. It all depends on the skill and experience of the programmer. A good programmer makes the difference between an easy to use program that guides the user and one that requires guessing.

This is a quote from another user who makes the point better than I could:
2. Setting aside any potential hardware issues, the software is utterly inadequate—something that should never occur with any product, and certainly not with a flagship. This, in my opinion, is equally revealing of the company’s seriousness.

StandardModel

Surely, but once again I think a synthaxic control for an URL, rarely bad seized.

@StandardModel

Here are a few things to check:

  1. Which app are you using to add radio channels by entering a URL in Rose? Radio app or RoseRadio app

  2. Which RoseConnect app are you using? PC, iOS, Android
If you’re using a PC, please also let me know your PC model.

  3. If you have any additional photos, please send them to me.

Rosehan,

Thank you for you questions but as user domrol pointed out above, it was user error as I had copied the URL of the station with. leading space.
