If you meant me, I am using the DAC built into the RS150b—nothing external. The difference is so obvious that it simply cannot be ignored. I didn’t comment on this earlier, as I was waiting for messages from other users, and now they are starting to come in.
This is precisely why the topic of organizing albums and scanning data doesn’t exist for me. I simply don’t use the internal storage because it doesn’t play audio files with the proper quality.
Here’s a small example: take your favorite album and listen to it on Qobuz. Then purchase it there, download it, and save it to the internal storage. Listen to it and compare it with streaming (fortunately, Rose has the ability to switch instantly). At best, you won’t hear a difference.
Then, play the same tracks via DLNA, and you’ll hear the difference immediately. It’s not as stark as night and day, but it’s noticeable. I describe this effect as greater sound depth.
