Do I need any special power adapter in order to use it in Japan? Does it ship with a 220v power plug?
Can I simply buy a universal socket adapter and start using?

If your friend purchased RS250 in Korea, the power plug will be in type F.
If you have conversion plug, there will be no problem in using it.
