Hi everyone,

Happy Rose day to you all. I have the rs250 and I am very happy with it. Just a few things, it may be that I just don’t know how to do it but think it would make it better.

  1. to be able to dim the screen via app remote. I find myself changing it a fair bit during day/night depending on how much light is coming in to room.

  2. when playing the songs is there a way to see what res it is playing at? 16/44 ,24/96 etc

  3. Apple Music- I find the actual Apple Music app a lot easier to use. I have had several crashes using the rose app. It’s ok if you just let it play an album start to finish but doesn’t like it when you swap between songs. It freezes and then plays a totally different song from a different artist. I am using Ethernet btw.

  4. is there a way for the clock to come on if the screen hasn’t been used for say 30mins or something like that? Almost like a screen saver mode… could be good??

Any help/response would be good

We are happy to answer your questions.

  1. It is not possible to adjust the brightness of the Rose unit with the BT remote control.
    I recommend you to adjust the brightness from RoseConnect app.
    RoseConnect app–>Settings–>Display–>Screen brightness

  2. From Android RoseConnect app, you can check the source information by clicking the part marked in red.

    From iOS RoseConnect app, there is no signal path function in the upper right corner, so you need to check the source information in the middle of the screen.

  3. The app crashes when using Apple Music, so it seem that you are using iOS RoseConnect app. This issue is currently being fixed. First of all, we apologize for the inconvenience. Please log out of your Apple Music account from your Rose device and log in again to try.

  4. Rose device does not have a function to automatically turn off the device after a few minutes of not using the device.
    The function marked in red in the photo below is the Sleep timer settings. This is a function that automatically turns off the device after a set time whether the device is used or not from the set time.

  5. Australia has many other channels than other countries. In addition, if you tell me the name of the radio channel you want to add, I will find you the URL of the radio channel. Then I will tell you how to add it to your RS250.

I’ve been using the 150b for about 2 weeks now and thrilled with the product.
I agree with you, the ability to dim the screen with the Rose app would be a big plus.
I too can’t read the resolution quality on the screen across the room, so I use the Rose app which displays it on my phone, as does the Roon app.
I like the idea of a clock screen saver mode. An additional screen option displaying visuals based on the music itself would be quite a feature…similar to the Aeon graphics program.
