VLC player will not display a menu icon RS250A

App is installed, However it cannot be selected to be uninstalled!! Further since there is no icon in the display window it cannot be verified that it is usable. I did install it, and it has never been visible. I removed the Hifi Rose video icon thinking it might be a maximum number of apps no change other than the video icon disappearing as expected. I do have Tidal working. Is there something that must be done in the phone app to get it to appear? Or is this a bug, in the Hifi Rose OS? or a security issue with VLC?

VLC player does not create a separate app even if you install it. If you install VLC player, you can turn the VLC player function ON/OFF in the video app.
Rose device–>Video–>Gear icon on the bottom left (Settings)–>Use VLC player (On/Off)

If you enter the RoseStore app on your Rose device, you can install or uninstall the apps we support.

You used the word Player, but in fact that is the furthest thing from the truth. If the interaction of the smallest portion of the VLC application is dependent on the HiFiRose Video/VLC being on, setting, that would mean that only the video playback function of the player works, nothing else, and it must also use or depend on the player’s Codec translations to allow video formats to be seen or decoded. The internet radio streaming functions and the audio codec decoding functions, as well as the convert functionality, has most likely been stripped from the player, and the Word “Player” would not be a correct description of what is left. BTW the current entry of Internet radio streams, cannot be edited if a mistake is made in typing them in manually, one error in syntax or a missing character will not allow a station to play, The entire station must be removed and reentered. Further stations that HifiRose has no codec to translate will not play even if correctly entered, but play perfectly in VLC player on a PC or a Mac.
