Hy, i connected optical cable (toslink) from tv to Rose250 and i want to control volume with tv remote when i use optical in.
It’s this possible?
IMHO you should read your TV’s manual to find out.
Before the Rose 250 I had the Yamaha wxc 50, if I set the universal remote control in Samsung smart tv , I could control the volume with the tv remote control, only when the sound was set to optical out(tv) .
It does not have to do anything with optical. Optical connection does not send information other than sound (digital). You want a function that is supported by ARC or eARC but it only works via HDMI. Rose does not support ARC/eARC. Uniwersal remote controlled your Toshiba, not TV,

To answer to my post… No i can’t becouse the remote on Rose it’s bluetooth only…
You can use Rose Connect app to control volume.
