Volume Control?

Can someone explain to me how the volume control in the RS150 works, please?
I understand that the unit functions as a streamer/dac/preamp, I just wondered how and where in the unit the volume control is implemented.

From a curious and enthusiastic HiFi nut.

Hello,
The RS150’s volume control is controlled by the AK4499’s built-in digital attenuator.

Many thanks, I shall have a read. Presumably, you have carried over this principle to the replacement ‘ES’ DAC in the RS150B

Hi @rosecaptain, your link does not find a thread, it says it either doesn’t exist or is private.

Hello @Roog ,
RS150 uses the AK4499’s digital attenuator for volume control.
Please refer to the Att Table below.

Many thanks, Roseloa

So, when using digital output there is no volume control, since onboard akm/ess is not uses?
