VU meter while using the RS250A as a USB DAC

Dear ROSE Support,
First of all, thank you for your continuous software updates and improvements.
I would like to submit two feature requests for the RS250A:
Please enable the VU meter while using the RS250A as a USB DAC.
Currently, when I connect my computer to the RS250A via USB, the VU meter is not available. I believe many users, including myself, would really appreciate having the VU meter active during USB DAC playback.
Please consider adding an RA280-style VU meter.
At the moment, the RS250A includes a VU meter inspired by the RA180. It would be wonderful to have an additional VU meter design that matches the RA280 as well.
I believe both features would improve the user experience and make the RS250A even more enjoyable to use.

-The latest firmware, version 5.11.03, installed successfully on my RS250A without any issues.

Hi,
I asked Rose about this issue w respect to the USB input on the RS520.

Unfortunately as it is currently implemented, Rose cannot do this.

You can probably find their response to my question.

Regarding your first inquiry, please find our response below

When configured for USB IN, the Rose device functions as an external USB DAC.
Audio data flows directly from your PC to the internal DAC over USB. Since ROSE OS cannot access or analyze the PCM audio signal in this mode, the VU Meter functionality is unavailable.

Thank you for your explanation. I understand that the VU Meter is not available in USB IN mode. I have one more question. Would it be technically possible to add a VU Meter in the future that looks like the RA280 style? Even if it wouldn’t work in USB IN mode, many users might appreciate having that option. The VU meter below is in the RA280 style.
The RA180 style is not supported on the RS250A

“Thank you for your reply. I think there may be a misunderstanding. I am not asking about the RA180-style VU meter. I am asking whether it would be possible to add a new VU meter design for the RS250A that looks like the one on the RA280 amplifier. Also, the VU meter shown in your picture is the RA180 style, and it is already supported on the RS250A. I have forwarded your request regarding the addition of an RA280-style VU meter to our software development team. They are currently reviewing the feasibility of implementing it in a future software update.
