VU meters not working like they should

@ROSEHAN At this moment I have a problem with the Vu meters no matter if I use Roon or the Rose app
When turning on the Vu meter nothing happens unless I change song then they appear
Same when changing Vu meter type or switch off Vu meter.
It only responds at the moment I change song , then the Vu meter appears but the needle does not move at all
I already did a factory reset and I use latest version from app and firmware
Any ideas what can cause this?

I did pack it and take it back to my dealer for repair.
It really drives me crazy.
When I disconnect it half an hour from the mains it works like it should.
When playing music and press the Vu meter knob in te app the Vu meter appears immediately.
I can change different Vu meter styles without any lag.

BUT…

After about 30 minuten it starts with it’s strange behavior.
When I switch on the Vu meter nothing happens.
It will take 3-4 minutes before the Vu meter screen appears.
Same when I stop the Vu meter, then it takes also 3-4 minutes before the Vu meter screen disappears and the normal playback screen is back.
All other functions have no lag, like screen on/off, clock etc.
So it seems it’s only the Vu meter app

Please check a few things.

  1. Try switching the audio output (e.g., from USB to Optical or another interface) and check if the VU meter responds.

  2. Test playback using local files through the Rose app (not Roon), to isolate whether the issue is Roon-related.

  3. Turn VU meter off and on again while music is actively playing to see if the needle starts moving.

  4. If possible, switch to another VU meter style during playback and observe.
