What about inserting a USB with dozens audio CDs ripped

What about inserting a USB stick with dozens of CDs and audio tracks already tagged (covers, title names, names of composers and performers) into the Rose RS150?
Does it access the content directly or must it scan its content to integrate it into his personal library?

Thank you for your feedback …

Best regards…

Hey @domrol - I have tested this recently.

The Rose recognises a storage device connected through USB - once inserted, it will then ask for such device (hard drive, dongle, stick, etc.) to be scanned.

At the end of the scan (which could take some time, depending on how much data is stored…), all audio tracks (including any tags) will show up in the Rose’s Music Library and you can play it all OK.

Hope this helps.

Thank you Alessandro,

Will my tags be kept ?

My understanding the unit needs to be formatted correctly otherwise unit will not recognize it. So far it isn’t seeing anything. But I believe HDD Drives need to be formatted via Ex/Fat for larger drives and then if you insert a drive into the unit it needs to be formatted via their software step. Well USB Dongle works 512GB but give it time to load before you start playing otherwise unit will lock up, same goes with HDD drives as well. Takes time for those files to load before they are accessible.

Approximately how long does it take to scan 300 CDs? 60 Go…
My USB key is formatted as NTFS, can it read it?

domrol: Hopefully it shouldn’t take long, my 512GB USB Thumb drive took about 30-45 seconds, but I tried to play it before they where loaded up and machine software froze. Not sure about NTFS, it should be able to read that, I know Ex/Fat formatting it works well with.
