What are you spinning now?

I just rediscovered this again. Back in the day, I wasn’t really into this kind of music—but now that I’ve gotten a bit older and “wiser”, it sounds absolutely fantastic.

Ethnic music always hits the spot. This album is one of those rare ones you can listen to from start to finish without skipping a single track.

and as a result, this also follows from it, but to a lesser extent:

Sadly infamous as the last album by this artist.

Before the album was officially released, it was leaked onto every free torrent site and every possible internet dump where people could download it for nothing. Sales collapsed as a result.

That said, it clearly hasn’t stopped Enya from living in her own castle. The lady lives on the coast in a beautifully restored, luxurious castle.

One of her finest compilations, and basically her calling card.

Orinoco Flow
Sheperd Moons
Storms in Africa

Hi VIK,

You have good general knowledge when it comes to music. :+1:t2:

C’est du belge ! :ok_hand::blush:

Yup, that’s also really epic!
It could easily fit into a superhero movie or a disaster film, too.

At least to me it sounds totally spatial.

Great tip… keep it up! :+1:t2:

I quite like this one, because it’s a bit more rhythmic. VIK, you know—it needs to have a little pep in it. Although, the calm, more relaxed stuff is actually really good for when I want to chill out in the afternoon—and maybe even catch a little nap in my music chair.

I implore you, Mike, please do not allow this chat to be blocked.

This is where I find the most important information; since I don’t have any issues with my devices, listening to music—with properly functioning equipment—is the sole purpose and point of it all for me.

I don’t have any problems with the 520 because I have no intention of trying to turn it into a video recorder; I simply use it for exactly what it was built for.

Be a good lad. :hugs:

Somehow I am not at all surprised that smegmel uses terminology that normal people need to look up. Well, something named smegmel would be bound to be perverted by definition.

This just keeps getting better—I’m dying of laughter!
If I were in the States, I’d arrange a meeting between the two of you. The only condition: no martial arts, and Mike has to show up as an anthropomorphic (human-like) animal creature—as “Mikey” Mouse.

I strongly assume that, after the meeting, all discrepancies would be resolved.

Krusseldorf Fractal World

An unexpected work from Simon. Beautiful sound, soundstage, and storytelling. Deep ultra-low-frequency vibes from Krusseldorf.

Hi VIK,

Not bad. Very soothing. It’s good for me to relax a bit while listening, close my eyes, and get some rest after work.

Give this track a listen—absolute deep bass!

:v:t2:

Thanks for the reminder.
I think the last time I heard this was two or three years ago. I’m a bit into disco, funk, and soul music.

Top tip… :+1:t2:

But some of the newly produced disco and funk tracks aren’t bad—just to give two examples.

Anne Clark is one of my favorite singers. At the very least, she addressed the topics that most people didn’t care about. Her lyrics were predominantly critical, grappling with the shortcomings of the human condition, everyday life, and politics. :+1:t2:

I have been listening to this on vinyl. A lot going on, I hope you enjoy.

Ahahaha, it all starts at 3:39, and I was waiting through the whole track thinking: “Somewhere here those huge Bonte basses should kick in.” :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: Yeah, it’s awesome. By the way, on my system it all comes through really well, without boominess or massive standing waves. Even though my bass traps are all set to -3 dB.

This is one of the coolest movies and the most unconventional role of Christian Bale.

Boahh, beautiful music and a very, very dense reference-quality sound — this is exactly the kind of stuff we love. Adding it to my collection
