I’ve tried Atmos via AppleTV and multichannel from my roon core via HDMI. My HDMI switch, worth a few hundred bucks HD Fury Vrroom and Vertex, can both passthrough ATMOS to my receiver but the RS130 can not. This is not an AppleTV issue this is Rose is not passing through formats untouched as they claim they can/do.
It’s a shame but honestly if you have other MC sources, use them and your AV receiver.
Can you confirm that multi-channel audio formats, others than Dolby Atmos, are decode on the RS130 when passthrough is “on”?

ROSEHAN has said on many occasions that Dolby Atmos is not supported and I believe him. I just want to know what happens to the signal. Does it get into the streamer but the surround information is stripped out? Is Dolby Atmos content even allowed to pass into the unit? Is it software or hardware that is preventing Atmos getting through to the output?
I have given up really. The 130 is so much better on paper than it is in real life. If it were only the Atmos I could move on, but this thing really should still be in beta testing. I will continue to use my AppleTV and silver discs for my Atmos music and will keep my eyes peeled for an audiophile quality streamer that passes the content.
