Why doesn't high resolution show

Hi, I wonder why you can’t see what albums is high resolution when you’re scrolling on Tidal!
Look at the pictures… Nowhere to see, if it’s ordinary CD quality of it’s high resolution… First when you play the album you can see the resolution! BTW the yellow high resolution sign isn’t there anymore! When you had MQA it showed, but nothing anymore! Please explain what happened!

Shouldn’t your question be directed to Tidal ?
In my version of the Tidal app ( version 2.131.0 build 7074 ) an album search only reveals whether the sound quality is Max, High or Dolby Atmos after I have tapped on the album cover to open it.
Things changed after Tidal ditched MQA plus 360 Reality Audio on 30th July and replaced them with FLAC versions.

No, the information is there… I have taken these pictures from my Bluesound…

You are right, my apologies. Qobuz also identify High Resolution albums, including the yellow High Resolution logo, on their app. These also appear on the Rose Connect / Qobuz app as well.
I would only conclude from this that HiFi Rose are simply replicating the native apps of Tidal and Qobuz, where as Bluesound are going the extra mile and adding the missing Tidal High Resolution info.
Frankly, I can’t see anything changing for Tidal / Rose Connect users unless Tidal themselves start adding High Resolution info to the albums.

Hi, after the last update, the Hi-Res icons have popped up again when playing in TIDA

Excellent music, thank you for the tip. Zdeněk

Cool that the high resolution sign returns, thanks for the heads up! :star_struck:
Glad that you like the music! :notes:

Try updating

Hello @Sidonius.
I wish the solution was a simple update. Unfortunately it is not.
Here is a Tidal example from the Rose Connect iOS app ( Ver. 4.19.04 )
Here you can see the High Res yelllow logo:

And the signal path:

It is CD quality FLAC not high resolution.
Then take a look at the next example where there is no High Res yellow logo displayed.

And the signal path:

This is definitely high resolution but the High Res logo is missing.

Yes, you’re right, I meant that before the update the yellow window never appeared and after the update it started to appear again, also on the information from Tidal there was a warning that MQA would no longer be used and as you can see it is still for some titles, I have a feeling that for titles that are MQA with yellowwindow does not show, previously the original title from the author was marked with a blue dot and marked with a green dot was not the original, so I think that instead of a blue dot, even if it is only 16bit/44.1kHz, it is marked with a yellow Hi-Res table
