Why, if the RS130's screen was turned off with the RoseConnect command, can't the remote control directly put it into standby?

@ROSEHAN

Si l’écran du RS130 a été éteint avec la commande RoseConnect ;
Pourquoi lorsque vous mettez le RS130 en veille avec sa télécommande, l’écran se rallume-t-il et ne met-il pas directement le RS130 en veille ?

Can you ask the technical team to fix this in a future firmware so that the RS130 goes into sleep mode even if its screen is off?

@domrol

Are you looking to have the RS130 enter standby mode from a completely powered-off state?
If so, that’s not possible. I’ve checked, and to return it to standby mode from a powered-off state, you must first power it on and then enter standby mode.

For example, I listen to a radio with the screen off (after using the RoseConnect command).

If I decide to put my RS130 to sleep with its remote, RS130 doesn’t go into sleep mode. the sleep mode command turns the screen back on, which is not normal.
A sleep command should put the RS130 into sleep mode regardless of its screen status.

Could you ask technical team solve this issue ?

@domrol

I have confirmed this with our software team.
They explained that it is the intended behavior for the Rose device to power on when the power button is pressed while the LCD is off. There is no method to enter standby mode directly from the LCD OFF state.

The reason is that if the device is not playing any music and the user presses the power (standby) button while the LCD is off, having the unit enter standby immediately could cause confusion.

Therefore, when the Rose device is in LCD OFF mode or in standby mode, pressing the power button will always turn the unit on first. This is the normal design, and there is no way to change this behavior.

Thank you, ROSEHAN.

I understand this choice, but ergonomically, the only solution I’ve found when the screen is off is to pause the streaming of my RS130 and wait for the automatic standby to put it into sleep mode.

  1. This means that it is possible to put the RS130 into sleep mode with the LCD screen off, but it’s not via a remote control action.
  2. This is in line with my request, which I opened in another thread, to lower the choices of automatic standby times below 1 hour with 5, 15, and 30 minutes.

Hoping, as you replied, that this last suggestion will be integrated into one of our upcoming firmware releases.

@domrol

Yes, I’ve forwarded your request to the software team.
They will review it internally and add it if they feel it’s necessary.

I can’t say when it will be added. They have ongoing projects.
