Why no love for the RA180?

I have a biamped RA180 and I love it . I don’t understand why at least here in the USA, more people are not buying . Is it because of the price?

I am debating if I should buy RA180 with my Weiss DAC 204 and Rose250A for my office system. The only hesitation that I have is due to Class D or GaN Amp as I have not tried such Amp.

I believe that most people don’t like Class D Amp.

I use ten. class D amps, one for each speaker (except the sub). In the old days of Class D you were correct. They were both cheap and overpriced compared to their performance. All of mine are Hypex (https://www.hypex.nl/) and most are Hypex Nilai. They are superb and as good or better than any other amplifier. I should also say that they are fed through an Anthem AVM from my RS 130.

I use also a class D amp that is nad m10 v2, i really love the sound especially after the dirac room correction processing.

I had the exact same set up but with RS130 . The linear power supply helps with the Weiss. I was quite pleased with that set up. But, if you’re going with RA180 bi-amping is highly preferred.

A lot of top amplifiers like Mola Mola, AGD, are all class D now. I think the stigma of class D is no longer true with the Gan fet tech .

I have the RA280 and I love it too but I’ve noticed that not many people are discussing it either.

Yeah it would be a shame given how good these amplifiers are paired with Rose stacks

True. I have RA180, which I replaced McIntosh C2700 and MC462.
The RA180 sounds nice and looks good too. I have no regret.

Yes, I’m same, but with Mcintosh ma352. I still have it in my second system though. But I fell in love with the Rose RA180 , especially when I bi-amped. And yes, it is a beauty to look at the entire Rose stack everyday, so much enjoyment.
