WiFi Band Preference (5Ghz)

Hi folks,

The ability to set the WiFi band preference would be great.
I’m running my RS250 over wireless using an eero based network and recently most of the time the device is connecting on 2.4Ghz which is busy and I get drop-outs, so I would prefer 5Ghz.

Thanks in advance
Joe

I am also using ethernet tethering on my Rose 250A. In settings there are a few options. There are four options: Network Name, Password, Security, AP Band. But when I enter into settings, I can change only Network Name and Password. I there a possibility to change AP band from 2.4 Ghz to 5 Ghz or is fixed at 2.4? On 2.4 max speed is 50 Mbps. So, I would like to get some answer here if possible @ROSEHAN

@Burle

It is not possible to arbitrarily change the AP band from 2.4 Ghz to 5 Ghz.

Unfortunately in my case I can’t set a preferred band from the network settings for a device, or set dual ssids,
I ended up installing more nodes in the house to support the various Rose devices, but the ability to pin a band would be nice in the future if possible.

Did not understand well. 5 Ghz is not supported by hardware or there is some way to switch to 5Ghz?

Hardware supports 5Ghz, just like the ability to prefer 5Ghz over 2.5Ghz

So, if available use the 5Ghz channel & if no 5Ghz available use the 2.5Ghz channel

Ok, how to set it on 5 GHz?

Yes, how to just use 5Ghz
