I am a new user of RS520. Bought few days ago in Poland. It works with Focal Aria Evo X N4 and I am really happy with the sound. Unfortunately I can only confirm that bluetooth/wifi dongle is a total disaster and the other disaster is that we cannot change it into a good one even for own money. So after 4 days I can confirm everything what i have found on this forum which helped me a lot, thanks to all of you. I hope that there will be no any other technical problems like with players mantioned below, also with two Coctail Audio in the past (which were also from Korea)
- The wifi connection is very, very unstable and it is not because of my network which is very fast.and solid In every part of my house, even in the garden. No single problem with Naim Unity Nova and NAD M10 I use also and any other device using WiFi. Anyway, I prefer ethernet connnection so this is minor problem for me.
- The quality of this dongle affects also proper work of remote control by bluetooth. Completely not usable. Mainly because of the false spontanic signals from remote to player every few seconds. They do not affect playing but I can observe them on the screen during playing. I have switched to IR and eveything works smooth.
So, Dear Rose, please give us the possibility to change this dongle because of its catastrophic quality (at least in Europe). I believe that this is possible by OTA actualization of the software to adapt RS520 to others.
I will write a message to distributor to change the dongle but according to the problems I have found on this forum I am rather sure that I will be not succesful
It’s a pity also that such nice looking device has such bad and cheap looking WiFi/bluetooth dongle, fortunately on the back.
