Wifi Bluetooth disconnect intermittently

For a couple of weeks my WiFi & Bluetooth disconnect intermittently.
There are no connections visible in the RS520 WiFi settings.
When i change the USB slot it gets activated again, sometimes automatically, sometimes by On/Off the WiFi but can also remain inactive. Just changing the USB slot helps sometimes.
Most successful seems to be the middle USB slot while the left and right ones do not become active. Again this is only sometimes not always.

How best to proceed to find out why that is???

What I have noticed is what you describe. I changed slots and even ethernet cable. WiFi was without interruptions but cable seems to be better sound, according to our colleagues on this forum.
When connections are not visible, they do not exist on that moment.
Then I switched the router off and on again. Now after a week of observing I dare to say that there are no more interruptions. I keep my fingers crossed though.

Paulus RS520

Hi thanks,
i always power off the RS520 after use and make a fresh start.
I do not listen music over WiFi or cable, only operate with Rose Connect from Android device.
I also copy my music via WiFi from computer to RS520 SSD. I notice very slow speed and even interruptions while copying files when this problems appear.

Strange is that WiFi and Bluetooth both lose connection simultanously. It looks as if the USB port or the antenna is loosing connection or breaks.

Yesterday i powered off /rebooted the wifi router and today i check to see what happens with those connections. Perhaps it is also because it gets to warm inside the RS520 !?

@Ben

If this problem occurs only with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, it is likely that there is a problem with the dongle.

Please contact the distributor in the country where you purchased the RS520, tell them about your symptoms, request a new dongle, and connect the new dongle to use it.

Before requesting a new dongle, does the same symptom occur when you factory reset your RS520?

Hello ROSEHAN

i look into it again and follow the steps you suggested.

Also a simple solution would be to buy just any other Bluethooth/WiFi dongle which is compatible. Here some valid recommendations from ROSE will be helpful.

For future cases when there are no more such dongles at the local distributor.
