Wrong cover art showing when playing CD with RSA 780

When playing CD’s some of the cover art shown on my RS201 is just bizarre.
I don’t know where you get the cover art from but sometimes it is so far away from
the actual CD cover art it makes me laugh.

@colin

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

If you look at the picture below, you can search for and select the album cover you want by clicking the image change button at the bottom right of the CD shape.

best regards

Thanks for response.
I do this when ripping a CD as its important to have the correct cover.
When just playing a CD doing this takes too long and is just too much effort.
It should really just display the correct cover art without any intervention.

I ripped over a 100 cd’s a few months ago and got some strange cover art as well. Even when trying to search for the art, it could not find it and gave me funny looking art. It’s not the end of the world but it would seem that the art should be tied to a database or two that catalogue the art from when the artist produce the CD’s.

I have an Innuos server and I am always amazed that it can find the cover art even for really obscure CD’s

had a Sony HAP-Z1 and very rarely it would not pickup meta data when ripping CD
and i got the Rose 150B after reading all the rave reviews and after Sony stopped supporting my product. Very disappointed with the ripping process onto the SSD i installed. 25% of the time artist and album come up unknown which in itself is very problematic but even more bizarre as I rip some CD’s which are all licensed purchased at full retail by me over the years it rips CD and comes up with a completely different artist and album title for the ripped CD. Am I doing something wrong or is there a setting that I do not have correct. The Sony had never misidentified completely a WAV file and it is practically obsolete compared to the Rose 150B which I am trying to appreciate as I do not yet use streaming services but have a large library that I want to enjoy on the Rose.

I presume it’s all down to cost as I would have thought sources like Amazon and Discogs want payment. I have owned quite a few CD rippers over the years and HiFi Rose’s cover searches are not very accurate and sometimes totally bizarre.
