Any suggestions for fixed MV setting for fixed volume output?

I prefer to use the volume control on my receiver (yamaha rx 8a), and i’m running hdmi video and using the analog output of the rs250. any suggestions on a fixed mv setting?

Hello,

Check your receiver’s manual and find information about input sensitivity.

I’m using the rs250 analog output to Denon x4500h then pre-out to power amplifier.

My setting is fixed on 2000mV and I actually have no noises or clipping.

If I had set my earlier streamer (pioneer n50ae, n70ae, atoll ms120) to fixed output, level was automaticly set on maximum. I think that’s the normal way.

Best Regards
Mike

Hi
Please tell me the correct order or procedure when using the pre out
I am using a Marantz Amp with rs 250
Set to 200mv
I’m controlling volume using the amp not the rose
What volume setting should the rose be on if any before I use the pre amp setting
Please.

I don’t use the Rose RS250 to control my volume, I do it via my amp - I put the RS250 to maximum volume

Same as luxury_scruff.
Not using the rs250 volume, using the amp.
And output level is set on 2200mV (maximum), not I had written before 2000mV.

Thanks for the reply the only reason I’m asking is because when I put the amplifier on and set the volume to the lowest setting it still seems quite loud .
Can I ask a stupid question if the rose volume is turned up to maximum is there a reason for this or does it really matter where it set , being as the amp will control volume.
Many thanks for your reply.

I don’t know your amp, so I can’t comment. further sorry.

Maybe there is a hi-fi forum that could help with your brand and model of amp - maybe AV forums?; https://www.avforums.com
