[Early Access] Ver 5.10.02 (Rose OS 5.10.02) SW Update Notice

@HansRoggen

Yes, the ROSE ONE app is currently compatible with both the Early Access (EA) version and the official version.

What difference is between Rose one app and Rose connect premium app?

@Niky

ROSE ONE includes features that could not be added to RoseConnect Premium.
In addition, ROSE ONE is a hybrid app that integrates both Android and iOS.

So, can I use them both?

Yes, of course I do that.

Hello,

I’m currently using the Rose Connect Premium app for my RS151.

Should I switch to the Rose One app?

Which app is better, and what are the differences? What’s new in the Rose One app?

Thanks,
Fred

Fred,

Too many changes to enumerate in Rose One. It’s effectively an entirely new program. I would switch immediately. No comparison.

Install both apps and test them out to see which one you like better. Rose One isn’t perfect yet; they need to work on it.

Cougar2025,

You’re right. It isn’t perfect but RoseConnect isn’t either.

I have installed RoseConnect One. When pressing the three dots icon at the right of a track, the page disappears.

Hello,

When I play a song using the Rose One app, I hear hissing sound coming from the speaker of my iPhone 13.

Of course, but there are fewer bugs than in Rose One, and these bugs will persist for a long time, knowing the developers at Rose. It’s impossible for an app to not work with a four-year-old tablet. The tablet supports all apps from well-known companies like Lumin, Aurender, and Esoteric, and Rose creates apps that the tablet doesn’t support, and it doesn’t work on newer smartphones either, like RCP, which could be tweaked and would be a great app. No other streamer manufacturer has an app that connects iOS and Android, and these are companies that have been in the streaming market much longer than Rose.

@Alberto
Thank you for sharing the issue.
We haven’t been able to reproduce it on my end, so could you please provide a detailed reproduction scenario?

@Alberto
Thank you for the update. We will try to reproduce the issue using a tablet with similar specifications to yours

So far, I haven’t had issues w Rose One… however I’m now having issues w RoseTube using the older connect app. (Rose One isn’t downloadable on the Mac PC yet)

Had to reboot the RS520 for RoseTube to work again.

It seems that w these upgrades… there are more and more issues where things are getting munged up.
I’d say it was due to some sort of memory leak … But who knows?

This is a problem when an app is released that isn’t verified by the manufacturer. It should only be verified by the manufacturer for a few months, and only after all the bugs have been discovered should it be made available for download to owners of Rose hardware.
Otherwise, what everyone is seeing now is happening: numerous bugs on various devices. It shouldn’t be like this, with users testing and finding bugs in the app.
It’s good that the previous app works and is good in most cases, aside from a few things that should be changed, and it would be a great app.

Well its only going to get worse when you have AI writing the code and there isn’t a real or strong UAT team…

Time will tell.
