Fiber/Fibre Ethernet vs locally stored music - sound quality

In an act of defiance, I’ve just bought some new power conditioners, power cables, LPSUs, two Cisco CBS220 swithes, fiber cable and ethernet cables to build the perfect clean/dirty network for my hifi equipment.

Even more common, especially with people having intelligence of audiophiles, is “hearing” a difference that does not exist.

I realize that your education has been limited to “you are a very special snowflake” and maybe a couple about how “math is racist” but alas, your “experience” if sighted listening without any controls ain’t worth the toilet paper you could wipe it with.

Nope. Of course it is way too complex a thought for you, but here it is you who claims to be flying by flapping his arms.

Umm, you bought some worthless crap to spite me? Oh, I will be losing sleep over it for months now!!!111

Or not. Seriously. You haven’t appeared particularly intelligent to start with, but to boast of it puts you among people spectacularly dumb even for audiophiles.

Did you at least ask your momma if you could use her credit card?

There is no theoretical chance that any noise can pass from switch over ethernet cable to analogue side of a DAC. First - we have galvanic isolation by design in ethernet ports. Second, if you connect streamer with DAC over optical cable - no noise can pass. Third, even if you use copper digital cables, it is very easy to isolate any noise from signal - because the signa is digital and there is no need to amplify as a whole, you just need to decode and recreate brand new analog signal.

There is an simple experiment you can do to prove who is right and who is wrong. So, you claim that you can hear the noise coming over Ethernet. Every streamer has pretty much big memory buffer. So, disconnect a ethernet cable and continue to listen. If the noise is gone, you are right. If there is no change - then I am right

In my long professional life as an sound engineer i did not found any measurement which proves your statement. Also, I suggested to anyone who claims that can hear a difference between ethernet cables and switches to disconnect and continue to listen. Nobody proved a difference.
