***HiFi ROSE Announces New U.S. Distribution Arrangement***

HiFi ROSE users in the United States:

As of July 31, MoFi will no longer serve as the official U.S. distributor for HiFi ROSE .

Beginning August 1, HiFi ROSE USA will manage U.S. sales and operations directly .

This is a significant change for U.S. customers. Has anyone received additional information about the transition, including:

  • Contact details for HiFi ROSE USA
  • The new authorized-dealer network
  • Product availability and ordering
  • Warranty and repair support for existing customers
  • Whether current orders and service requests will transfer automatically

Please share any information or experiences you have regarding this change. Official clarification from @moderatorswould also be greatly appreciated.

I only hope this is not the end for Hifi Rose. 1 year ago the company Auralic announced the same thing about not distributing to the U,S anymore. We all know what happend with Auralic.

Mofi is a high end distributor that knows the USA market well. This is no small loss. Just sayin.

Seeing that Dynaudio has alltogether left the US market, Rose’s decision to take distribution with their own subsidiary has little similarity with Auralic’s case.
Personally I have no explanation for this. We have to wait for official announcement. Dynaudio offered very murky explanation as far as I can remember

RoonGoeroe,

HiFi Rose didn’t say they were not distributing in the US anymore. They said that they were changing distributors.

I for one am impressed that they finally recognized that they were paying a lot for very little service or promotion.

I am only saying this because i sold my Auralic some weeks back and i was worried. Now i own the RS151 and what a fine peace of equipment that is. More soundstage, clarity i am very happy with it.

Interesting that you say the RS-151 is better than the Auralic. I have the RS-151 but was considering the Auralic until I found out they were going out of business.

Thomas. Some weeks back i went to a local audio store and i did listen to Eversolo DMP-A10, Lumin D3 with seperate PSU, and the RS 151. The RS151 was sounding by fare the best of the three. It gives more clarity, depth, wider soundstage. The RS 151 sounds also better then my Auralic Vega S! with seperate PSU wich i sold fore a good price.

What i do need to mention is that i use the RS151 only with ROON.

I am not worried. I think it is a change for the better.

Worth clarifying for anyone worried about the MoFi announcement: HiFi ROSE is not going out of business.

What’s happening:
They are taking U.S. sales, logistics, and dealer relations in-house under HiFi ROSE USA rather than using MoFi as a third-party importer. Going direct is pretty standard for brands scaling up in North America.

Background:
HiFi ROSE is a division of Citech Co., Ltd., a South Korean tech firm with decades in hardware/display tech.

Support & Software:
Korean engineering still handles all software, RoseConnect app development, and firmware updates. U.S. warranty/service simply shifts to HiFi ROSE USA.

Thank you Stranger, I can rest reassured.

The comparison of sound comes down to personal preference and the characteristics of the components

Auralic went ‘tits up’ aka out of business. So stores who hold stock aren’t dropping prices even though there’s no support for the units. I would imagine you can get a great deal on the used market if you’re willing to take a risk.

Rose is taking control of RoseUSA and US Distribution.
Prior to the announcement, MoFi ran RoseUSA for Hifi Rose.

DynAudio pulled out of North America. Or rather US markets and said focus on Europe and Asia. Which leaves Canada in limbo or at least not mentioned.

So lets see where the chips fall.

I hope the company improves its customer support. Mofi responded to requests. I’ve had less success with the company.

MoFi is still listed as the U.S. distributor on both the U.S. website and the official HiFi ROSE website, despite the announced transition. Unfortunately, this seems consistent with my experience with HiFi ROSE—limited communication, ambitious promises, inconsistent execution, and little to no response to customers seeking clarification about what these changes mean for the U.S. market.

I hope I’m wrong, but this lack of transparency doesn’t inspire confidence and, in my view, may be an early indication of the challenges that could lie ahead.

@duffer5

Hello,

HiFi ROSE USA has now been established. As you know, our agreement with MoFi has ended, and we will manage the U.S. market directly going forward.

However, there are still several items that need to be transferred from MoFi, including remaining inventory, repair parts, and other related materials.

I have forwarded your questions to the person in charge. I will share the answers with you as soon as I receive them.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Thank you for your response.

I appreciate the update, but I have to be candid. This response reinforces the concerns that many customers, myself included, have about how this transition has been handled.

Announcing that HiFi ROSE USA is now operational while simultaneously acknowledging that key elements—including inventory, repair parts, and other essential materials—have not yet been transferred suggests that the transition was announced before the necessary logistical planning was complete. From a customer perspective, it appears the announcement was made before the infrastructure was fully in place to support existing and future customers.

The result is uncertainty regarding support, warranty service, inventory, and even basic questions about the U.S. market. Customers should not have to wait for internal transfers between companies before receiving clear answers.

Unfortunately, this has become a recurring theme in my experience with HiFi ROSE: ambitious announcements followed by delayed execution and limited communication. While the products themselves can be excellent, the customer experience has too often reflected overpromising and underdelivering.

I sincerely hope HiFi ROSE USA proves me wrong and that this transition ultimately results in a stronger support organization. However, first impressions matter, and the current rollout gives the appearance of a rushed announcement without the operational details fully in place.

I look forward to receiving answers to my original questions once they are available.
