My Rose One app is not indexing Artists, neither is it possible to add to favourites in the One app.
This applies to PC, iPhone and iPad.
In Rose Connect it does work.
The issue has already been forwarded to our software team and is currently under review.
If we are able to reproduce the issue on our side, we will work to fix it and release an update as soon as possible.
Could you please send the smartphone screen showing the problem (indexing artists and favorites) so we can verify the issue in detail? You can send it to the email address below.
shim1691@citech.kr
I sent the screenshots you asked for. Is there any progress? Indexing seems to remain the problem. Search function is showing results on Playlist on Rose, Rosetube and on Qobuz (extern servers) but not showing any results on the intern Rose harddisk (Music).
Another minor detail is the wrong spelled Dutch word “Niew” in the HOME section as it should be spelled as “Nieuw”
Best regards, Michiel
The issue you reported has been fixed and will be included in next week’s release
Good morning from Holland, I see you updated the Rose One application twice in the past 10 hrs.
The search option works partly now and I hereby send you the screenshots I took from the issues I still have. Mainly it’s the track search which is confusing.
As you can see the track “eye in the sky” from Alan Parsons is a track in the database.
The search should find the track but it doesn’t while other tracks from the same album are found.
When I search for the artist Alan Parsons it is found so no problem.
Same problem appears with the track “Why” from Annie Lennox and the track “Time” from Pink Floyd. Also “Time” from the above mentioned album from Alan Parsons is not found. Other tracks with the word “time” in it are found but not the track “time” itself
The track “Let’s Dance” is not found. I have that track on my local disk 13(!) times…
What is strange is that when you search for the track “Kiss”, some of the results shown are tracks by the band Kiss that have completely different titles. See the attached image.
It also seems that a distinction should be made between the track artist and the album artist.
Please see the last image.
Also the number of search results in tracks appears to be limited but I cannot find any consistency. In my opinion it should be unlimited.
Also the question I have is I would like to know how to make a favourite artist in my local internal music database. I can’t seem to find an option anywhere.

One last thing is what AI says:
“Another area worth considering is classical music. Classical recordings often contain additional metadata such as Composer, Conductor, Orchestra, Work and Movement. It may therefore be beneficial to distinguish not only between Track Artist and Album Artist, but also to index these fields separately. This could help improve the accuracy and relevance of search results, especially for larger classical music collections.”
I hope this helps you.
Best regards
@Querner
I apologize for the delayed response. The issue you mentioned has been resolved and will be included in the improved version scheduled for release this week
This is what i got in my mailbox the 22nd july…
"Regarding the issue below, we confirmed a problem where search results do not appear in the RoseOne app when there are a large number of scanned tracks, and this has been fixed today.
You will be able to verify the fix in the upcoming RoseOne app release.
Since search seems to work fine in the previous version (RoseConnect Premium app),
if you want to test the behavior, please install the RoseConnect Premium app and check if the two issues below can still be reproduced.
-
Missing Tracks in Local Library Search
-
Incomplete Artist Track Listing"
I tried to e-mail back to you but adresses seem to bounce so here’s my reply;
Dear @Rose_love and @ROSEHAN and other technical specialists at the HifiRose team.
I just installed Rose One v1.0.32.4 and to my surprise after rescanning the search behaviour hasn’t changed at all.
Regards,
Unfortunately, that’s just how it is: people with a local music collection get the short end of the stick. Searching by title doesn’t find locally stored tracks, and the album art issue in the “Last Played” view doesn’t work either… These are basic functions; it’s a hassle having to write up bug reports for them, only to have a slim chance of getting a reply anyway. Like I said, I definitely wouldn’t own a Rose if it weren’t for Roon.
Of course, always provided I don’t do anything wrong or misunderstand anything.
Not being able to find all tagged information is a complaint of me for at least 2 years. It is not read, it is not in the DB.
Also not being able to mark a favorite, which is also tagged information, is an old complaint of me. This tag is simply not in the DB. Instead there is a requirement to create a logon to with a ROSE server to save that information
Then there is classical music with it’s additional tagged information and they are missing is well. An old complaint as well.
Multiple artists etc, tags do not understand nor use a separator sign . They are not used as well
I tag all my FLAC music on my desktop and the copy the files to the internal SSD of the ROSE 520.
But some tags are simply not used in ROSE even though the tags are standard.
@Querner did that a while ago with a comprehensive analysis which must have taken time and effort but not only this wasn’t acknowledged nor properly answered on the Forum, but - in the end - issues that go back many years now still remain unresolved.
It’s such a shame that users with a music collection that don’t have/use Roon are left with such a poor experience.
After all these years, it’s pretty clear to all of us that HiFi Rose not only does not have the resources - this just isn’t a priority to them - but also that this group of users - despite all the goodwill, pleas for help, beta testing, bug reporting, etc. - are literally abandoned with an interface that doesn’t allow them to fully enjoy their music collection.
Dear ROSE Support, @ROSEHAN @ROSELOA @Rose_love
I have now installed RoseOne version 1.0.32.4 and performed another full rescan. Unfortunately, the search behaviour remains exactly the same: missing tracks are still not returned, and artist track listings remain incomplete.
Could you please confirm whether version 1.0.32.4 contains the fix mentioned in your email of 22 July?
If it does not, please specify the exact version number in which the fix will be included. If version 1.0.32.4 does contain the fix, then the reported issue has clearly not yet been resolved on my system.
Several other users have now reported similar long-standing problems with local-library search and metadata handling, so this does not appear to be limited to my installation.
This is becoming a rather repetitive process. I have already provided extensive test results, screenshots and specific examples, performed multiple full rescans, and enabled Remote Assistance. Repeatedly reproducing the same documented issues is no longer productive.
I am willing to test a specific new version once you confirm that it actually contains the fix. Please therefore provide the exact RoseOne version number in which the correction will be implemented.
Remote Assistance remains enabled.
I would appreciate a prompt and specific response.
Best regards.
