Missing LAN connection

Since the last update, the RS130 has been losing its LAN connection settings. In the menu, you have to disconnect and reconnect. Just turning the slider on and off is enough to restore the settings. However, the playlist still won’t play. The device has to be completely turned off or shut down. All functions are restored only after a restart. This is annoying. Please fix this.

Same here on RS250a. You have to manually connect the Ethernet

Are you setting up a fixed address or are you relying on DHCP and getting an IP address assigned?

Unfortunately, we are unable to reproduce this issue with the routers we have on hand, so we would like to ask for your assistance.

Could you please provide us with the following details?

Information Requested:

  1. Router details (Brand and Model)
  2. Did this issue start immediately after the update (V 5.11.03), even though it was working fine before?
  3. Frequency of occurrence and any specific details or scenarios when it happens.
  4. Does the issue still occur after changing the setting from DHCP to Static?(Path: Settings > Ethernet > Gear Icon > Change DHCP to Static)

(*) Please send your details to shim1691@citech.kr. Once we review your reply, we will provide further guidance by email.

Hi,

I also experienced this after upgrading to V5.11.03. After a long standby e.g. overnight, my RS130 seems losing the networking setting after coming out of standby or cannot see the device in my Rose One app on my iPhone. I am connected via the Ethernet with Wifi disabled. My router has always been Cisco Switch 250/24 and I did not have this issue before upgrading to V5.11.03.

I managed to resolve it by using static settings.

Kind regards,

Tom

Mi also on my rose 130 no connection with Lan before update never problems
Fix that bug
Everytime i must reboot rose to connect with my router
Hifi rose this is your problem to fix since that last update
If you selling a product also make sure that the software is good tested before doing a update

I can confirm the same issue on my RS130.

I am using an AVM FRITZ!Box 7590. The problem started after updating to firmware 5.11.03. Before the update, the Ethernet connection was stable.

After several hours, the Ethernet connection is lost. A reboot restores the connection, but the problem returns after some time.

I have not tested a static IP because I have never changed this setting.

Give the same problem i try it

There could be a couple of reasons for this to happen.
The one that I think is the most likely is that if you’re using DHCP, the lease life is too short and it forces DHCP to provide a different IP address when you renew the lease. (turn the machine on.)

You can see this if when you have it working, record the ip address. (really the 4th octet is all you need.) Then when the problem occurs and you reset… see if the IP address changed.

To fix this… just set a fixed IP address. (And make sure the address isn’t in the DHCP pool.)

I´m using DHCP. The IP adress stays always the same. It’s always worked fine up until now; the problems only started after the update, so it must be down to the RS130.
