Moonlight cable

Yeah… so people like you buy expensive speakers that have tweeters that go up to 30kHz or buy super tweeters to fill out the sound. Interestingly there are some that claim you do hear a difference in the overall sound. Its possible I think if you consider the harmonics along w room interaction.

Hey Mike, I couldn’t care less about all the nonsense other people spout!

If it sounds good to me, I’m satisfied. I can manipulate the sound on the 3400 so much—I could tweak the settings to be different every single day—but what I really want to do is listen to music. As long as I have a good soundstage (spatiality) and a solid bass foundation, I’m easy to please. Of course, the bass shouldn’t be too exaggerated, as that tends to severely restrict the sense of space. If you ever get the chance to experience RP for yourself, keep in mind the words I’ve typed here—Bonte.

I’ll bet a nice three-quarter-liter bottle of good Russian vodka that you’ll be surprised—provided, of course, that you’re honest.

There is a Lyngdorf dealer about 1 km from me.
It was on my shortlist but again the price for the RS520 was really good and for the price… it blows everything else away that’s near it. (The Lyngdorf would be 2X the price.)

I know—I haven’t forgotten that. You’ve already posted it to me several times.
Well, somehow everyone has to decide for themselves what the right path is. In your case, the price of the used or demo 520 was simply too tempting.

Well sometimes I have to repeat it so it sinks in.
You did say you had Alzheimers … :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Lol… :joy: See? You’re getting the hang of it… awesome! :+1:t2:

I’ve always had the hang of it.
Just don’t insulting people for the sake of insulting them. Less banter more focus on what matters.
Boris is just noise.

Mikey…:joy: :hugs:…You’re just asking for another beating! Don’t provoke Boris! You always bring it upon yourself—you’re the one who gets Boris firing on all cylinders. I’m already chuckling again over here; I can just picture it: if Boris reads all this, it’s going to rain thumbtacks—and with the points facing up, too! :joy:

There’s no beat down.
Boris is just being boris and is ignored.
He just wants to be the smartest kid on the short bus.

Brilliant comparisons…

I posted this for you yesterday, @Smegel (Mikey)… and here it is again. The Me 109s are coming in and striking once more.

Sorry, wasn’t paying attention.
Boris either regurgitates something he got from ChatGPT or Google’s AI… or its just wind.

I’d take the Jug or a P-51D over an ME 109 any day.

But only because the German Luftwaffe was already weakened. Otherwise, the Mustang would have gotten its ass kicked. Although the Mustang was—and still is—a great fighter aircraft.

We had good German fighter pilots—*Erich Hartmann, for example.

*Erich Alfred “Bubi” Hartmann was a German fighter pilot and officer in the Luftwaffe of the Wehrmacht during World War II, and subsequently in the Luftwaffe of the Bundeswehr starting in 1956. With 352 confirmed aerial victories, he is the most successful fighter pilot in the history of aerial warfare.

I am not proud of it. War always means death.

But you appropriated the entire scope of German post-war development—and, with the help of a German (Wernher von Braun), flew to the Moon.
Peenemünde is right near me; that is where the V1 and V2 rockets were built. At that time, no one else in the world was as technologically advanced.

But we’re getting off topic. This is a Hi-Fi forum.

What do you think of speakers like these? Is the price justified?

The Danes make great hi-fi equipment:

Check out DALI, Steinway-Lyngdorf, ScanSpeak (now Scansonic), Dynaudio, Purifi, or Borresen (Audio Group Denmark AGD) here.

@Bonte
In 1944, on my father’s 18th Birthday, his Uncle Samuel gave him an all expense paid trip to Europe. Not only that, my father learned how to drive a car and an M4 Sherman Tank. (Even though his MOS was as a musician.) Since he didn’t have enough points to rotate home at the end of the war… Uncle Samuel gave him a job as a camp counselor guarding suspected Nazi war criminals. It was at a little place just east of Munich… maybe you’ve heard of it, Dachau?

Just to keep it on topic… while there he got to actually play in the band and met USO stars like Mickey Rooney who came over to entertain the troops. (He thought Rooney had a big ego and was an
arschloch.)

This is where my brother and I picked up the cello and my love for listening to music. So growing up I listened to classical, jazz and of course Rock, Punk and beyond. :smiling_imp:

In terms of your comment, there were pilots and then there were aircraft. Again I’d take the P-47 for surviability or the P-51D for dog fighting and speed.

Ok, Borresens are good speakers. Yes, I agree that the Danes do a good job.
There is an AGD dealer out in the Chicago burbs that sell the entire line.

Its good gear, but IMHO, over priced. To be clear, it is good/great gear… but you’re paying for it.
At their price point, its not just sound but also ‘eye candy’. I’d rather focus on getting good/great sound but at a reasonable price point, rather than chase that last 1/2 of a percentage point better.

Which is why I’m here w an RS520.

Which kinda begs the question… can you hear a difference between the RS520 and the Eversolo Play?

Respect—that’s a great story. :+1:t2:

But, as I said, we’re getting off-topic; had I known that, I wouldn’t have brought up the Messerschmitt Bf (Bayerische Flugzeugwerke) 109 in the first place. Besides, it was developed back in 1935—long before the Mustang (1944) was even a twinkle in anyone’s eye—and the Americans had actually seen the Me 109, which is how they were able to build a plane like that. Anyway, let’s drop it! They are two wonderful aircraft; the sound of those 12-cylinder engines alone is absolutely incredible.

I’d like to ask you not to reply to this anymore—at least not here. :pray:t2:

Great, Mike.

If I were in your situation, I would have arranged an appointment for a hearing test. I would have to drive too far to hear them, and it’s not worth it to me—because I’m not a millionaire.

Yep, Boris is back—and it’s raining pitchforks again, but with the tines pointing down.

I’ll remain rational: since I haven’t heard them yet, I won’t form a judgment.

Where we lived, it was called the “Help School.” It was for children who had poor powers of comprehension or who had never learned. In the West, there were Waldorf schools.
