The media management is completely broken now—at least for me. The list gets cut off, even on the RS150 itself, which means it looks the same way in the app, whether on iOS, Android, or Windows:

The dialog for the weather data update is now popping up just about every minute. Surely that can’t be intended, right?:

Are you connected to the network?

Yep, via LAN. The weather data is actually up-to-date, and Tidal is running fine, just like the music source from the NAS. That shouldn’t be the problem.

Just did the update… everything works on my RS520.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have confirmed the issue and it will be fixed in the next software update.

It seems like the last folder was not included in the DB scan.

Please tap the three-dot menu on the right side of the folder below, run an additional scan, and check if it resolves the issue.
DB Scan_0714

Already 3 successive updates and a next one to come!!!

When will it work?

I stopped at 5.9.07 it’s the one that works best for my ears (RS130)

No, as I said, the list is being cut off; under “MQA,” there are additional shares that can no longer be displayed.

Dear ROSE Support,
First of all, thank you for your continuous software updates and improvements.
I would like to submit two feature requests for the RS250A:
Please enable the VU meter while using the RS250A as a USB DAC.
Currently, when I connect my computer to the RS250A via USB, the VU meter is not available. I believe many users, including myself, would really appreciate having the VU meter active during USB DAC playback.
Please consider adding an RA280-style VU meter.
At the moment, the RS250A includes a VU meter inspired by the RA180. It would be wonderful to have an additional VU meter design that matches the RA280 as well.
I believe both features would improve the user experience and make the RS250A even more enjoyable to use.
Thank you very much for your time and consideration. I look forward to future updates.
Best regards,
Bereczki Béla (Hungary)

  • The latest firmware, version 5.11.03, installed successfully on my RS250A without any issues.

The email has been sent. ,

It would awesome if the vu meters worked through hdmi and be able to show them on your TV.

What do these VU meters show? They work poorly and have nothing to do with the dynamics of the reproduced sound. They work as they please, and Rose has been fixing it for years. Now they’ve written that they’ll try to fix it in an update in about three months.

Nice gimmick to show off lol

I’d argue whether it’s cool if it doesn’t work well.
For example, Accuphase has cool meters, Mac, or Luxman, and the diodes work as they should with respect to dynamics.
It’s a shame to show it to people in the Rose, because it doesn’t work well; it’s simply a gadget that exists only for parody.

We will look into your request to see if it’s possible to implement

Thanks for the email
I sincerely apologize; you are absolutely right. The behavior I described is completely normal. The “MQA” share is only displayed fully and with all options once it has been scanned for the first time.

No problem at all, and sorry again.

@MuP
Thank you for looking into this.

Unfortunately problem below isn’t been fixed. I have to unplug my router and Rose130 from time to time because of the approaching storm. And after that Rose wi-fi doesn’t work. I have to make factory reset to find my Wi-Fi network again.

„1. RS150(B), RS130, and RS520: Fixed an intermittent issue where the device failed to reconnect automatically to the previously connected Wi-Fi network after the router was restarted.”
